long, light, slim, easy to carr folding knife for edc and food prep mainly?

I can finally recommend an endura, especially in hap40.
and although I've never handled one, the military looks like it might be even better, in 52100.

Neither are slim I know, but I find the endura very good as a folding food prep knife.

Any sugestions for slim,4 or longer inch, non tactical looking knife, thats light and easy to carry?I have Opinel already,is there something similar, and slimmer?

Opinel effile is the slim version.
When you ask for slimmer, do you mean the handle, or the blade profile?

FFG Endura is my suggestion.
I recommended one yesterday in another thread but I'll recommend it again.

Ill try the slim opinel,!Blue al mar eagle is something I have to get soon.I had endure, and while its good knife, didnt like it too much,I like slimmer knives that are easier to carry./

I've gotta recommend the Northwoods Hawthorne Jack - long, slim, light, and carries easily (almost unnoticeable) in any pocket with the included pocket slip. They're a little pricey, but they're heirloom quality pieces, so you can pass them down to the kids or grandkids. I've got a couple of 'em:

The Al Mar Ultra light series are have great slicing geometry. I have a Hawk and Falcon. They work good for food prep, they are as good or better than most paring knives. Get the flat ground blades, not the Talon ones for food prep.

If you want to go budget, Opinels are a bargain.

My Tenacious dons't fare too bad in the kitchen either.

Poor man [who don't need lock just strong slipjoint and don't mind carbon steel] Al Mar:

Douk Douk Corsica Vendedouk designed by Fred Perrin, based on "Vendetta" Corsican pocket knife, fixed blade on comparison picture has 11 cm blade and 11 cm handle.

90mm cutting edge, XC75 carbon steel, slip joint [very strong], I carry it in small kydex. Pics [taken before I removed that "U" staple for lanyard]:

If you go Opinel, the one you want is the Slim Line 12 or 15 (en Français, Effilé 12, 15). 5" or 6" blade (12 or 15cm). Slightly flexible. Stainless. $25 to $26.
