Hey guys. I've been looking for a new folder for edc. I have a lot of them but all of my folders are made in other countries. I want a good folder that looks nice that's made in the USA that's also under 100 bucks. You guys have any suggestions?

Buck 830 Marksman or H&K 14715 (it's discontinued, grab one while you can) are both great, USA made working knives.

The Spyderco Native 5 or Manix 2 lightweights come to mind. Good luck with your search!

Get a buck 110 , it's one of the best looking folding knives ever made.
If you need it one handed you can put a brass kwikstud on it.

This is the knife I carry most frequently that is under $100 and made in the USA:

I think I paid around $40 for it, though I don't think they offer this specific version anymore (green dymondwood with Sandvik 13c26 blade). Flips great, carries great, cuts great. I carry it sometimes despite owning a lot of very expensive alternatives.

Nice.

I like the small version of the Buck Vantage for pocket-EDCing.

The small Buck Vantage Pro, with S30V steel and G-10 scales, is an excellent buy at about $58.

The Manix2 G-10 is a lot more knife, but at nearly twice the price.

If you were going to go with the Buck I'd go with the Buck Vantage Force Pro with S30V and G-10 but it's more like $75+. Spyderco quality is definitely better than Buck though.

That's the large Buck Vantage Force Pro. I don't think there is a small of the Force version, just the regular Vantage Pro.

And definitely yes to Spyderco and quality.

Well, as a counterpoint I have the Manix and a Buck Vantage Avid large (pictured in my post above), and I've carried the Buck a lot more than the Manix. Maybe my Vantage Avid is a fluke, but there's nothing wrong with it. I like it so much I've often considered having custom scales (which would no doubt cost at least twice what the knife did, if not more) made for it.

Worth noting that small Buck Vantage has a blade length is of 2.625" vs. the large with a 3.25" blade and Manix2 at 3.375".

Personally, I'd carry a Buck Vantage large over Manix2 as well simply because I'm allergic to wide folders. :)
