Looking for a new folder made in the USA under 100 bucks.

Go look at the Spyderco site, as well as the Spyderco section on THIS site. They make great knives!!

I suggest one of these.

I'm ashamed of how badly I've beaten on this knife at times, but it doesn't care. Gonna buy me another one while they still exist.

That HK seems like an amazing knife for the price. The Boker Patriot seems like a great knife if you want a Delica like knife but must be made in the USA. Spyderco makes beautiful knives right here in the USA.

I regularly carry a Knives of Alaska Featherlight Hunter G10 scales ....under $100

Recently picked up a Great Eastern Cutlery lockback Scout with green micarta scales....it's also under $100
GEC-72-2488__15622.1472237188.1280.1280.jpg

not sure if the links will work but easy to find on the net...

Not big folders but light and easy to carry....

I don't do many traditionals, but that GEC is sharp. Big fan of the micarta.

Spend 20 more dollars, and get a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in plain ole s30v. You'll thank me later! :)

I agree but you can pick one up on the exchange new for $100 or less any day. Or a Manix 2 is another great option. The lightweight version is surprisingly sturdy and can be found on the exchange in s110v for $100.

My highest recommended knife at any price only fetches $80. That knife is a Spyderco Native 5 lightweight.

Kershaw skyline, blur, knockout
Buck spitfire, I got one form SK blades in S35VN for like $60
Benchmade mini grip

My .02 cents worth is the 1550 Kershaw Ken Onion. I have carried everything from a Remington 1123, to a Buck 110, I was fortunate enough to run into a Kershaw 1550 in a box of other knives while I was looking for an auto to use here at the farm. Many times I have needed a one handed opener! Over a 10 0r 15 year (?) period I wore out the spring twice and Kershaw stood behind it 100%. The first time they sent me the spring and the next time I had worn out the spring and lost the rear retaining nut. I sent it back and they replaced everything (except the clip) including the blade free. When I sent it in last time I went out and bought another because I couldn't live without it. I now have 3 (had 4 but gave one to a new friend!!). We live in the country and several of my friends now carry the Kershaw assisted openers. I have used it on everything from a pry bar to a wire cutter and it still takes an edge that surprises most. On some occasion I have even used my razor strop when I knew I was going somewhere others would be showing knives. These are not Sunday Go To Meeting Knives, when you pull it out no one is going to ooh or ah at the sight. However once they see it in action they get the picture. These are available used on eBay for as little as $25.00 + SH/H. Just about what you would spend at McDonalds with the Grandkids. BTW I didn't see a knife that was recommended here that wasn't great... (except one)... so good luck Take care and God bless. cordell

+1 on HK14715 aka HK Axis.
IMO it's the best USA made knife under $100. Benchmade quality with beefy D2 blade. I swapped the clip to a deep carry one and it's perfect for EDC.
Side note: The HK Axis it also has one of the best blade to handle ratio, so it gives you a lot of blade but with shorter handle for ease of carry.

Get it while you still can, Benchmade just discontinued it.

Other than the usual Kershaws previously mentioned, you may want to consider the USA-made Kershaw siblings the Dash and Hype.

Both are aluminum handled featuring anti-skid TracTec inserts. And both are (regrettably for some people) "SpeedSafe" assisted opening flipper models.

The Dash sports a 3-1/2" drop point blade of Bohler N690 steel (which can be considered a near-clone of the better known Japanese VG-10) and is presently available in four colors: green, red, orange and black. The sale price is $64.99 USD.

The slightly smaller Hype has a 3-1/8" drop point blade also of Bohler N690. Late last year it was available in both red and black, however, I see only the black in stock now for $74.95 USD. Obviously, the sale price is no longer in effect.

I ordered multiple samples (8) of both models over the holidays to pass out as stocking stuffers, and I have to say, the fit, finish and quality of assembly is easily the equal of Kai's premium Zero Tolerance line. Blade centering on all eight samples was dead-center perfect - which to me is a remarkable achievement in an American-made product with no premium or luxury pretensions. The assisted-opening action was crisp and reliable on every sample, with the nod for speed and authoritative "snap" going to the less massively bladed Hype model (as expected).

Well, just to throw something else out there, I'm pretty sure the cold steel recon 1's are under $100. Not quite my flavor of knife, but they are well built if you're looking for a hefty folder.
I just received a manix2 for christmas and am loving it!
