Looking for a new folder made in the USA under 100 bucks.

I didn't realize the regular Manix g10 could be had under $100.

Here's a crappy pic with the Vantage for size comparison since I have both:

The Manix is pretty beefy and I don't carry it everyday (usually smaller stuff at work,) but it's a sweet blade. I like the Vantage line too, but on the small the handle was too short for me.

Kershaw Link in S35VN, $80.

I'm not a fan of the link. Just don't like how it looks. I was looking at the link and the skyline and I saw the thermite. I know it's not made in the US but for 30 bucks it seems like a good deal. Haha. I just want all the knives I can get I guess. Anybody used this knife before?

Kershaw Link in S35VN gets my vote. I also agree that if you can take the pocket size, the Manix 2 is a GREAT knife for the money. The Link is stealing A LOT of time from my other, more expensive knives. If you erased the Kershaw logo and put a "ZT" on it, I promise you wouldn't know the difference! Kershaw hit this one out of the park, it's just a fantastic knife for EDC as long as you are OK with assisted-opening, as there is no detent. Also, ZT is running the S35VN at 61-62HRC on these, and they are thin behind the edge. Great cutting tool.

Don't care. Haha. I used to edc the spyderco resilience. Now I'm using the Izula 2 but I don't think I'm a fixed blade guy.

My choice #1 would be a spyderco manix 2 if that doesnt strike your fancy i would go for a kershaw blur s30v for a second choice. But either of those are excelent edc's.

PS the manix is a little wide in the pocket but the ergonomics are phenomenal.

SPYDERCO.... Since you asked for a USA blade a Military, PM2, Manix or Native should tickle your fancy. All come in different steels and some in different handles. I personally carry a Delica everyday and use it for everything under the sun and it is my favorite knife ever (kicked all my 400+ blades out of the pocket)

This is the knife I carry most frequently that is under $100 and made in the USA:

I think I paid around $40 for it, though I don't think they offer this specific version anymore (green dymondwood with Sandvik 13c26 blade). Flips great, carries great, cuts great. I carry it sometimes despite owning a lot of very expensive alternatives.

I have owned many high end knives and the Buck Vantage Pro has turned into my favorite EDC. S30V, great ergos...just a great designed knife. Now I know many give it grief because of F&F....But the two I own are fantastic. One did come a bit off....things not lined up. But it is so easy to adjust to make it perfect. Anyhow, The Vantage Pro is a very underrated knife imho.

Spend 20 more dollars, and get a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in plain ole s30v. You'll thank me later! :)

For those wanting slim, Silver Knights is offering a upgraded version of the Buck Spitfire with laminated blade.

This was said to be limited supply, something like 22 made. price is great if you get one. s90v takes a bit longer to sharpen, and its a recurve so that may be a bit of an issue too, easy enough for some tho.
They do have the 722 spitfire blackout with s35vn blade for super cheap, i do recomend that if you cant get the s90v version http://www.skblades.com/product-page/7cb889e0-f24d-02dc-7fe2-4d723a9e87c9
or the operator based off the 830 marksman... its a bit more expensive but an awesome ball bearing flipper with a unique and strong lock and s35vn blade. http://www.skblades.com/product-page/73d8c59e-07d1-ea56-3263-5d1dd4b49233
the issue with the operator is the blade is thick to the tip, so its not a slicer what so ever. watch some youtube reviews about it from Kevin Cleary or ApostleP

the boker patriot seems like an awesome knife, i need to get one. here's a video review

kershaw link in s35vn Kershaw Skyline in s30v or Kershaw Blur in s30v, i prefer the blur, its also a recurve, so sharpening may vary for some. The link has a great blade profile, easier to sharpen as well as easier to sharpen s35vn.
Kershaw Camber is in s30v and no recurve at all.
most of the kershaws have speed assist. not the skyline tho. the skyline is a flipper but not a very good flipper as you have to use wrist to open it, at least mine does.

im not into the buck vantage s30v, but others here have suggested it is good. ive heard quality issues sometimes, but maybe that was a thing of the past? my main issue with it, is the size. way too small for me.

HIGHLY recommend the spiderco lineup of usa made blades. even if you wanted a more exotic material it would be beneficial to save for another month to afford one of those for around 150ish give or take depending on the model. i bought a used s110v blurple manix2 for around $130 and i love it. The PM2 & manix2 in s30v are around 120$ but used, here on the forums could be found cheaper.

here's knife centers american company folding knives price accending.

stay far far away from Mantis or Qmaster as they are both made in china. the distributor lies.
