Sent Paul a knife a while back, he's paid have the amount but still lacking
the remaining, no response to emails for a long time now, but I do see he's
on the forums and looking to buy more stuff?

Maybe his email account is defunct, so posting here to see if someone that
knows him can contact and let him know I'm trying to reach him.

looks like he was also known as coltsfan1829 but that appears to be an older name on the forums

just got a reply from him, he had simply forgotten
which due to some things in his life right now I can
easily understand and I knew he just needed a reminder
was all and it's all taken care of this morning!

I dislike having to bring this thread back to the surface, but after talking with him
a few times now, still no check for the balance of the purchase he made.
I've opened this thread up and will leave it open until this is resolved by him.

Yep. Sorry not a big fan of the "so much going on in my life right now" excuse, whether from buyer or maker. It's interesting to me how life suddenly seems to get complicated for a lot of people after you have fulfilled your half of the bargain but they haven't managed to fulfill theirs...
 
Sorry to hear about this. Did you send him the knife on good faith?

That's the truth!!!!

I would venture a guess that most of us have had some real bad times in our lives, some times so bad that life can appear truly cruel.

But if times are that bad then why the &**k would you be buying knives? And if you already bought a knife an owe on it, communicating often with seller often is a must, period

I am probably too trusting but yes, it was sent out ahead of time for him.

Not sure the reason, I do see he's looking to buy other things on the forum?

So, I would think it'll all work out but until then, I'll leave this thread open...

Like to bring this back to the top.
Gary is a fine gentleman.Sends off stuff to people even before receiving payment.Will like to see this guy do the right thing by Gary.If not, at least this will help make more people be aware of this person.
 
Gary, your optimism and forbearance are qualities I greatly admire. Hopefully this guy wises up.
 
Thanks guys, just off the phone now with Paul, he says the letter is enroute,
he received a reminder from one of the Moderators on the forums, thanks
to whomever that person was :) and he had forgotten again to mail it out
but, it is now enroute and should land by probably Saturday, I'll close this
thread and update it once Saturday passes by with any news, I'm away all
this week, SWEATING like crazy in Henryetta OK, for my day job, installing
some equipment here in the Anchor Glass factory, heading home on Saturday
EARLY 6am flight ugh, I don't do mornings very well ;)

Well, Saturday has passed, along with Monday and no letter.
I sent an email with my address, stating if it didn't arrive tomorrow
to send another out as that one must be lost...

Nothing yet, called a few times and left messages,
I'm heading to Clearwater on Monday for two weeks
work there, should be time enough for a letter to get
to my house by then I would think, will keep you guys/gals updated.
