Gary, I just went through a similar situation in reverse (paid for a knife and did not receive it - from another now banned forum member). I was lucky enough to receive my knife after about two months but only after constant one way messages and some valuable help from some of the forum members in determining his real address and that of his mom also. I was able to speak with his mom, very respectfully, and have her confirm his cell number and convey a few messages. You can file an internet fraud charge with the FBI and mail fraud with the post office - let him know your intentions. If you have his cell number, sometimes text messages strike closer to home. What seems to have done the trick for me was letting him know my next step was contacting the his local police and arranging for them to visit. If he has other legal issues this could add a little pressure. I was about to contact his local police when the knife showed up. I also was encouraged by my local police to file a local (to me) complaint. We are still working to get two other members their knives from that same thread though. Sounds like your situation is a bit different but thought I'd let you know what we tried. Mike
 
Oh snap! Good to "see" ya G2. Sorry about your troubles, but he's either gonna have to make good or change his legal name and address to screw anyone else over on gun / knife forums now. ;)
 
I'm traveling right now, mail hasn't arrived at our house yet, I will update
this thread when I get home.

Paul did say the letter is in route, so I expect it should arrive today.

Guys like Paul Comer get jammed in the end. To think, this POS took an Oath of Office and wore a badge for 22 years only to show his true colors on the Internet. I wonder how many times he tarnished that badge without getting caught???

Another jerk giving good, honest retired LEO's a black eye!!

A fitting resolution would be his arrest for theft!!!!!
 
Got a few emails from Paul, I've been traveling steady since early yesterday,
got home, grabbed a quick bite and on the road taking my daughter out to
college in Huntington IN, just left her and will be driving home tomorrow morning
a LONG few days of travel.

BUT the gist of the emails, he realizes how it all looks, wants to make amends and
said he did send out a check but felt that wasn't enough and asked that I tear that
up when it arrives as he sent out a money order priority mail.

I'll post when that arrives.

I really hope all of this gets sorted out for your sake Gary. I can't believe he had the audacity to say he "knows how it looks" when after doing a little looking on here and ar15.com, it is plain to see he is a deceiver.

The good news is the money order arrived safely today, he didn't claim
to be sending more, just wanted to make it eaiser to cash this than a check.

I know it'll be a slow dig back for him to the trust level he once had,
I guess that's the price of the situation such as this, a fair warning
to others but also it shows that he did finally come through after all.

Locking down the thread now.
