Sorry to hear about this Gary. Its perrty bad when you try to do a good thing for someone and they take advantage of the kindness, and lie too

Why? Pretty clear:mad:

The reason I say that is, when we talk on the phone, it's always
fine, easy conversation, he was on hard times/hospital stuff so
I can understand that, but the last two times, he said he had
the envelope right there, just needed to post it, the next time
he said he forgotten to take it out but would do it that day
and since I've not been able to get through by phone to him directly
only left voice mails, I'll try again this week and see where he's at,
it's possible he's relapsed and is in the hospital again...

Thanks Mike, I give most folks the benefit of the doubt...

Confuscious says

"He who has many bullshiit excuses and reasons is full of bullshiit!!!"

No response from email or phone messages left, will keep this coming to the top until it's settled.

I do find it hard to believe that a person's integrity would be allowed to be jeopardized
for less than a hundred dollars, not that I can think of a price, it's always been said that
everyone has their price, don't know if that holds true or not, but in this case
$70 has a man's reputation on hold...

Sucks this is happening to you. You have a great reputation around here. I'm going through something similar. I convinced my brother to buy a $325 set of paintings, that was at the end of February. Since then the guy has spoken with me and keeps telling me they're on their way. He even went as far as sending me a fedex tracking number that hasn't updated at all. If this was my money I wouldn't be too upset, but it's my brothers, and I really fill like I'm the reason he got screwed over. His last message was the 5th of this month telling me he's a good person and to please just wait. I hope your situation works out well, I just don't see how people can do these things to one another.

Thanks Buttershoe, sorry to hear about your brother's bad news too!

Still no funds and no comms either by phone or email...

BTW even if he doesn't have the money, he could do the right thing and send you the knife back and ask for whatever you thought was fair out of what he paid you. I wouldn't hold my breath.

That's a good idea, no response yet, left another voice mail,
it could be he's in the hospital and not able to make contact,
but time will tell,

Hmm might have to get my posse out his way to have a chat with him...

I think its time you posted his full name, address, and phone number.
Maybe some of us can help increase the volume of collection calls to the toad.

That aside, all of us that have deal with you in the past would not mind if you held on to your knives until you receive full payment. I know I don't mind waiting a few extra days.
Anyway, hope he pays up or sends your knife back. gw

Anyone who would pull crap on Gary, would have no qualms, at all, about screwing over the rest of us. Gary is the model of what a knife-nut should be and how he should deal, and if everyone comported themselves like Gary, there would be no "bad" or "ugly" deals to report. There are some real idiots in this world, and it seems like guys like Gary have to deal with more than their share of them.

Hang in there, Gary. Since I moved to AZ, I've really missed seeing you at the yearly Chesapeake Knife Show. Btw, I've still got that Criswell Wakizashi that I bought from you about ten years ago.

Thanks guys, his name is Paul Comer, I'll hang onto his addy for the time being but
just be alert for his name if that does come across in an email to buy.

Back in January he had sent this email;

Yes I am having a fusion from my L4 down to my S1 so I am gonna be down and out. Hopefully it will get rid of the pain

Possibly all didn't go well from that, some word would be nice though.

And HD, that's cool you still have that! I haven't been able to get back down
to that show, I think the last time I was there was kinda the debut for
Mike Snody, should have bought his table out ;) things you think about later eh?

Back surgery or not you deserve much better this this Gary!!!!

Even after surgery one must still handle their responsibilities, surgery is no excuse/reason for being a deadbeat, period.................

Thanks and I agree, lets bring this up to the light of day again,
unless he's signed up with a new name, his last visit was early in July...

coltsfan banned: Failure to pay debts and respond on deal with Gary W. Graley.
I doubt this will get his attention but he is not welcome here with that attitude.

 Excellent.... we can always hope it might get his attention.

Good luck G2..... :)
