The zt550 or 560 either would make a good tough folder for a bug out bag. The pocket chainsaws work very well too for cutting limbs.

getting back on topic, has anyone considered a folder for a bug out bag, it would take up a little less room in the bag, and it sounds like theres some beefy folders like a buck/tops csar t, that could fill the role, any thoughts on this
Personally I prefer a large fixed blade 8 to 9.5 inches and a folder combo for camping, hunting and spending extended time in the woods.
Well I just pulled the trigger on the 4. It took forever to find a sight that had the right combination of coating color and sheath style, but I decided to check out knifeworks and "ka-ching". To make it even better it was a few dollars less than the other sights. I was really wanting to go with bark river, but my funds are a little tight right now. Another thing that pushed me towards the esee was the warranty. If a company is willing to stand behind their product that much then I am happy to give them my $.
And now we wait...
In my time in the Adirondacks there have been 6 earthquakes with noticeable damage to my house. Mostly just a few busted Windows, however one broke every window in my house and knocked every window n door frame out of square.. there are quite a few faults within 250 miles of NYC. There is a nice one just north of NY city on the Jersey border. Mahwah NJ/Ramapo NY. Doesn't matter where on earth u go mother nature has her ways of letting u know who's boss. I lived in Ogdensburg NJ and my house was trashed (2002/03) noreaster dropped 9" rain in 2 hrs. Nearby creek decimated my neighborhood. Also went thru hurricane Sandy on Staten Island suffered damage from storm surge and my neighbor drowned with his son tryin to pump out his basement. Storm surge blew thru his foundation and trapped em both. Awful shit. Only so much you can prepare for, then it's just luck. STILL TAKE FALLKNIVEN S WITH WHERE EVEN I GO/Am.
nothing to worry about, a couple of bladeforums resident geologist/weathermen/ volcanist/ oceanologist/ tornado chasers actually know mother nature personally have assured us all that NYC is impervious to natural disasters
I can't decide if you are ignorant or obnoxious. I may have to toss a coin to decide whether we keep you or boot you overboard. You might consider making the decision easier.
apparently all the years of wearing off your fingertips wore off your sense of humor as well, if i was trolling id be obnoxious on every thread i post on, (cant claim not being ignorant on other threads), but maybe just because you didnt enjoy my joke doesnt mean some other members didnt get a chuckle, i really didnt think that comment was "aggresive", now i just feel like im being picked on for being a new poster
The disrespectful tone of your previous posts in this very thread have set the course for how your treatment is being perceived. In any case, a bit of kindness and humility go a long way here, try that instead of being a clown. You chose to drive down that road, don't get pissy if the scenery is not to your liking.

If you want to hang around here and participate, I suggest taking a break from posting for maybe a day.
Also, consider that intended sarcastic humour doesn't translate well into the written word quite often, so figuring out how to convey such things--emoticons sometimes help--will be of value.
Look around the site a bit and get a feel for the culture and tone of the place...each subforum also has their own "unofficial rules of conduct" that will be quite apparent very quickly.
So yeah, take a break, maybe sharpen and use a knife, and all will be well.
Nice Busse Antdog...that sucker has seen use!
