Looks like the k2s are being liquidated.....

Way too big. I saw some videos and the handle sticks out probably an inch and a half behind the end of the reviewers' hands.

it depends how big is Your hand.... If K2's handle is like the one in Military mode it would be very good for my hand :)

Gloves. LOL

I lean towards the bigger handled knives though.

My hands are smaller but still feel very comfortable with the Military. I don't see it a problem with the butt of the handle sticking out.

My hands are like that, at least. The Military fits, but my fingers are slightly a little up on the guards. Funny that the Endura has a bit of room left. But the Millie has a cool factor, too.

I just received my K2 in the mail today and it's everything I expected. I do have a question for those who have had theirs for a while or anyone who has experience with 10v however, has anyone experienced any patina with this steel? I know it's not stainless but it seems very stain resistant.

it more stain resistant than people think. :)

None of my A11 blades have any sort of staining.

As promised, I am reporting what I feel about the K2 after I receive it.

What's good: the grind work is very well done; the blade shape is very attractive; for such a big knife it is very light; although I did not cut anything with it, there is no doubt it is an excellent slicer with the FFG plus the thin blade.

What's bad: the lock is VERY sticky such that both hands are needed to disengage the blade; the blade is significantly off centered when closed; the handle is very uncomfortable. The first two things are among the worst of the 30 some folders that I have (~10 of them are frame lock, including cheapies like Kershaw Thermite). I am not confident at all that break-in will help much with the sticky lock. Granted the handle shape has some similarity to Military's, but the width contributes adversely to the discomfort. I think the knife would be much better if the width (both the handle and the blade) is reduced by half inch, but then it would be too similar to the ti millie (except the blade shape). Also, for such a big knife, I actually feel both the blade and the handle are a bit too thin. With the knife in my hand, I was not exactly sure what tasks it is better designed for.

With that being said, those with big hands and good luck may find the k2 an excellent choice.

I got mine today, and after several hours of opening, closing, and using it around the house the lock is fine. I don't know if yours will break in the same but mine is now easily closed with one hand. The only problem I've run into is that a small flat spot developed on the edge after using it to trim back some plants. It's minor but a little concerning. Good luck with your sticky lock.

Never force a Ti lock.

If it's sticking put the edge on a cutting board and push down lightly, this takes pressure off the lock and will allow you to disengage the lock without causing damage. You can also pinch the spine and pull while disengaging the lock.

I'm surprised to hear it's not centered. Hearing all the praise of Taichung I hope mine comes centered.

I received two K2's from Knife Center today. Both are perfectly centered and perfectly ground. One has exceptionally good lock function and engages very deep-probably 80%. The other one is just slightly sticky and locks up at 60-70%. I'm completely happy; this is an exceptional tool for $150! I will be sending one off to Josh at Razor's edge for some custom work and will probably keep the other stock.
The surprising thing to me is how compact such a big blade is. The handle dimensions are very similar over all to a large Recon1 but thinner and I EDC a Recon 1 a lot. Good to hear the 10v is not super stain prone. I think I will probably EDC this big bad mamma jamma frequently. The slicing ability is exceptional and edge retention is crazy. I broke down 5 or 6 cardboard boxes and it would still shave with the factory edge. Can't wait to take it down to 8-10 DPS. I have big hands and I find the handle not bad given how flat it is. YMMV

Just received mine from KW this a.m.
Mine has just a hair of lock stick and locks up at 60-70%
The action is just SILK. And the 10V blade is light saber sharp for outta the box! Centered as well.
Very, very pleased to say the least.
My last K2, the one I regretted selling engaged about 80% with no lock stick. But honestly Im just as happy with this K2.

Next stop for my K2 will be an appointment with Jason B. And then on Josh at R.E.K.
