Thanks for the head's up KM and MCM. I am sure this will be a hot ticket item with all of that M390!

I tell ya .....I've been waiting for a new chunk of BM M390 to come out!
And with some pretty sweet lookin' scales too!
Oh yeah!
Nice job BM!

The 810 Contego with CPM-M4 is a great knife. I recently got my second one as a backup due to Benchmade's new pricing enforcement policy. I paid $134 delivered for each. Have to ask oneself if the 810-1401 Contego with M390 is "worth" (read subjective) the extra $60!

Wow, I really want one even though it doesn't fill any holes. I already have an 810 which is one of my absolute favorite knives of all time. I think a 950 with this set-up would have been better for me since I don't yet have a 950, but oh well, with M390, it's a must have!

I will buy one if BR549 works.

It never worked with any of the other half dozen LEs from this retailer. Don't hold your breath.

Fill a hole in your pocket or cut one, either way.

To me for an LE? Yes.
But for an extra $17.00 its a no brainer.

Looks really good, just what the 810 needed. Definitely worth the price. In light of the recent event though I'm not sure that if it came in the center console of a new Chevrolet Silverado for that price people would be satisfied. I think there will be guffaw no matter what they bring to table now.

In June 2011 the M390 and black/blue G10 AFCK exclusive cost $187.90 out the door from KW. A ~$15 increase for the same materials in a similarly-sized knife after two and a half years seems more than reasonable.

I plan to pick this one up, for sure.

edit: Actually just saw $195.50 is the shipped price, so make that a $7.50 increase.

Me too.

Wow, I have to admit it didn't see this coming.

It's rare that a Black Class knife has such strong crossover appeal.

I had actually gotten two of the CPM-M4 versions for myself fully expecting the Contego to be discontinued at some point soon and now this?

Wow is all I can say, oh, and yes, I must have one!
