M390 810-1401 Contego

That blue looks amazing. Absolutely spectacular. Now that I've seen one that looks that good, I'll probably be disappointed when I get mine because it'll probably be mostly black. LOL.

Was just about to order one myself, but see that they don't take Paypal anymore. :(

I saw that notice on the website.

Not sure why KW can't sell knives with PayPal but Ebay sellers do all the time? So do other knife sellers unless they have recently changed their policy as well.

Because PayPal restricts the type of knives that can be bought using Paypal. PayPal does not allow their service to be used for the purchase of automatic or butterfly knives. And Knifeworks sells auto and butterfly knives. I seem to remember that Roger decided it would be too much of a hassle to continue using them due to their(Paypal's) restrictive policies.

Check out Paypal's site: https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=39113&topicID=3000043&m=TCI

Ordered mine yesterday afternoon (30 DEC 2013) and today I received an email stating it has shipped, that's fast!

Too bad, 'cause I would order one right now, but only if i can with Paypal. Not willing to deal with the hassle of money order, and I don't do credit cards.

Mine has stopped trying to 'cure' me.

Mine too........ I am so far down the rabbit hole......

Am really pleased with how the M390 810 came out. I spec'd it out last year at SHOT, and the S90v M2XL at the 2012 SHOT show.
Both are really slick blades. Looking forward to 2014!

I just ordered one. Last purchase of 2013 and my first Benchmade.

Man I need to out that ex04 on the back burner for this! That wharncliffe modified is awesome but this just takes the cake as a entire Package, also thanks for the breakdown on the steel. I cannot wait to order. :)

So use a debit card...

So when are you going to spec out a M390 Rift? That is my Grail knife.

I've never understood the negativity toward credit cards. Three simple rules to follow before getting one:

1) Get one with no maintenance, monthly, or yearly fees.
2) Get one from a financial institution that has social polices you agree with.
3) ALWAYS pay the monthly balance as soon as the bill is received and never, ever, charge more than you have in available funds.

These days with such high inflation the average wallet just isn't big enough to carry enough cash anymore.

Anyway, it's simple to drive to a post office and purchase a money order, then mail it to KW. How bad do you really want it? :)

It is simple, not bad enough to do that.

Speaking of which, if you check out PayPal's "social policies," you'd probably never touch PayPal.

Actually I'm not negative at all about credit cards, I use them extensively for business purposes and have yet to pay a service fee - paid in full on a monthly basis. And the way I insure that continues to happen is I never use a credit card for knife related purchases, given that I am a blade addict.

Just got mine. F&F is good as is grind and sharpness. The color is no where near the picture in this thread, which is the same pic used on the KW site. It is mostly black with a little blue. At these prices one would expect at least to be close to the advertised image. Even though the colors were not guaranteed this is not even close. It is absurd to me that I am paying near custom prices and getting a product that even on e-bay would be considered "Item not as listed". I'm done with Benchmade. This will be my last purchase from them.

Could you take some pics of yours from both sides?

This is my fear. I really want mine to have a large amount of blue. I'll probably be disappointed.
