M4 Millie secondary value?

Do you know something we should know??? ;)

I'm not suppose to tell. :foot: Ohh crap, I accidently let the cat out of the bag.

You would be stupid to think Spyderco will not produce millies with the new steel reinforced ti lock w/m4 steel. You'll also see them in full ti handles as well. That's only like their signature knife. You think they will not produce them?

Well, color me stupid. Yes, I do not expect to see Millies with CPM-M4 blades as a full production item. Sal has previously announced that all of the Ti Military production will be shifted over to the lockbar with the steel insert in the full-Ti version, but that's different from going into full production with an M4 Military.

To me, that would be approaching the level of Apple's marketing methods to which I have no consumer respect for. There is nothing worse than some sort of hype only to find out you have an obsolete product in 6 months. That's just me though.

Or these could be the ramblings of someone who really wanted the M4 Millie, but missed the boat. I think people do this often to get themselves to believe what they are hoping will become reality.

By the way, when did the Military become Spyderco's signature knife? I always thought that slot was filled by the Endura and Delica.

Only 6 posts and you're already telling people they're stupid if they disagree with you. Not to mention that some the members here have been following Spyderco for years, and have a pretty good sense of how it rolls out its products--do you claim to have that knowledge?

Other than that, welcome to Bladeforums. I suggest you relax, read more, post less for a while, and refrain from asserting conjecture as irrefutable fact.

Hi Folks -

I recieved my M4 Military - my first real Spyderco knife.

It is perfect in every way - nicely centered blade, very even grind, no markings etc., 40-50% lockup (depends on how hard I open it), and it is as smooth as I would expect a finely machined tool to be when new.

I bet this puppy gets buttery smooth after I cycle it and then put some remoil on it.

I am hanging onto my example - $400 would just not be worth wishing I had one again.

Thanks to Roger and the fine ladies at Knifeworks, and thanks to Sal and the Spyderco crew for providing the opportunity for me to own such a fine knife.

best regards -

If someone offers me $400 mine is gone! LOL!!!

400$ huh? 399$ right here!!!!

i was going to use this knife but if the price starts going that high i wont be able to to push myself to use it and or keep it.. PLEASE people don't drive the price up i love this knife!

I didn't call anyone stupid...go reread what I wrote.

I don't claim anything...only time will tell the truth.

I'll revisit this thread later on in the future...just to say I told you so.

Yes, I passed on the g10/ti m4. Because, I'm waiting on an m4/s90v ti.
That is when Spyderco can figure out how to make them...jk. :p

What you wrote is that if someone doesn't think that Spyderco will put the M4 framelock Military into production, they're stupid. You said that here:

You would be stupid to think Spyderco will not produce millies with the new steel reinforced ti lock w/m4 steel. You'll also see them in full ti handles as well. That's only like their signature knife. You think they will not produce them?

The people who responded don't think that, so you essentially called them stupid. Thought I'd clear up the confusion for you.

Dohh, I need to learn reading comprehension. WOULD BE and ARE don't mean the same thing.
I did not use it as a noun.
adj.
stupid: trivial, silly, or frivolous

Should I have said you would be crazy...??? Accoding to you that woud mean if someone disagrees with me they should be locked up in a mental hospital for insanity...NO!!!

Perhaps I may have been incorrect in my words used. I suppose silly would have been more appropriate...
...it's not nice to say someone would be stupid.
Let's see: you would be silly. Hmm, I guess it sounds nicer than stupid.

Again, you took what I said the wrong way.
If I thinks someone is being stupid. Then, I'll just call them stupid.

Hell, maybe it's I who is stupid...

"I'll revisit this thread later on in the future...just to say I told you so."
Even if it's to admit the others were right and I was wrong.

Now, can I make it any clearer for you?
The only person confused here is you.

I like mine, no question about it...but $400 would buy a nice custom.

If I were walking down the street with mine in my pocket and somebody came up with a $400 cash offer, I can guarantee it would be walking away in a different pocket.

If you put it that way... :D
