M4 Ti Millie Alert!!!

"never ordered anything online before and I'm wondering what to expect."

From Roger at KW expect great customer service and communication.

I have ordered dozens from Roger & (Several hunderd on-line)
And have never heard of anyone having a problem with him.
One of the best sellers out there, bar none.
Ask around........:)

Add me to the list, too. I guess I'll have to start working on adding a few other Ti/G10 framelocks to my collecting so I can have something to compare it to when it arrives in May. :D

And to add to what others have said, Roger and the folks at KW are great. This should be a sweet knife.

that is really good to hear and it sure gives me peace of mind.

To each his/her own, but I very much hope it is bare. I cannot abide blade coatings.

When it's functional and protective, as it would be on a carbon steel blade, I prefer them. But on stainless knives I'd much rather a bare finish, satin or stonewash being my preference.

"I like the stonewash on the manix 2. "

I would like to see a photo of that!

It does not really show on the picture, but it is definitely stonewash:

I would humbly argue that "functional" is a matter of perspective as I feel that coatings of virtually any sort detract from cutting efficiency. "Protective," well yes of course, but I prefer carbon steel knives (90% of my folders are carbon steel slip-joints) and other tools and maintaining them is a labor of love. FWIW, Ezzox is the product I prefer to Marine Tuff-cloth now that I'd tried both.

Just got confirmation from Roger that one is saved for me:thumbup: Lookin' forward to this one.

293 of 500 have been pre-ordeed. ;)
Only 6 months to go..........

Here's a pic of an M4 Mule that was uncoated but also (and this is the important point IMO) uncared for. The thing about coating is that it obviously can't protect the only small portion of the blade that you REALLY care about: the edge.

I think waiting for this knife is going to make me start a RIL collection. I'll probably be picking up a Sage 2 soon, and if I can, Ti RIL Military.

don't forget a leafstorm, chokwe, and (if you don't already have one) sebenza.

There are not too many knives in that catagory if you limit yourself to Spyderco's line up. If I remember right they are only the following:
Volpe
Spin
Cricket
Sage 2
Leafstorm
Chokwe

Maybe something in the Byrd line also.

I second that -- I've bought 5 knives from them -- all without a hitch.
