M4 Ti Millie Alert!!!

After getting my Spydercos Rockwell tested there was no doubt they are top notch at heat treating. Very consistent, and CPM D2 was 62 RC (this explains to me why CPM D2 has outperformed S30V by a good margin), CPM M4 at 62.5 RC (the tremendous performance of the Mules is already well established), and VG-10 and S30V both right at 59 RC, not to mention ZDP 189 at a nice 64.5 RC (my second favorite steel to CPM M4, just wonderful stuff I can't get enough of). You don't have to down other companies to acknowledge the Spyderco is about as good as it gets in the production knife world for consistent high performance heat treating.

Got two CPM M4 Mules hardness tested as well and both came back at 62.5. I hope they will shot for at least 62RC for the M4 Military.

Now back to the M4 Millie.......

Cant wait! This will be a new favorite.

Of my 300 folders, this one will be in my 6 knife rotation for sure.......;)

C36GTIP will have a nested liner on the G-10 side. It is a right-hand tip-down carry only.
 
Not sure, but it will have a non coated Satin blade. :thumbup:

Cool. Sounds good to me. Not that it would matter to me if it was coated or uncoated. Just not a concern to me either way.

This thing is going to be so sweet! It's going to be hard for ANY manufacturer to produce a finer blade then this one in 2010.
 
This will be a good buy for collectors or users. Wonder if they could ever do a san mai verion with an M4 core and H1 cladding...... hmmm.....
 
did he give everyone the response that they are added to the list but he cant guarentee that u will get one? we have to wait until jan first so he gets a head count.. j/w if i was too slow sending my request in.
 
Nope. My response just says he added me to the list. Are we gauranteed the number we asked for if that is the case?

Sounds like you are on a waiting list to get on the list, but based on prior experience there will be a fair number of dropouts between now and May or whenever this comes in. I would not sweat it.
