Made in Idaho:)

People are deifinitely creatures of habit and will whine when anything changes. I know I like to whine a lot.

I have a "Idaho made" stamped Large sebenza and love it. Tbh i dont care if its there or not. It does not affect the knife's awesome quality.

Just opened the thread in the CRK sub. Wondering who got hurt this time...

Do people have a problem with the physical engraving or the state of Idaho...or both?

I've got a Buck 110 with the state of Idaho outline on the base of the blade (a year of manufacture indication stamp)...I kind of like it. But then again, a Buck 110 isn't a Sebenza:rolleyes::p

Regional American pride is as good or better then national pride. I wonder if there are any state tax incentives for manufacturing as a rationale or its more a way to protect his brands sustainable value.

Didn't realize Rowen plant was in Mid West as well.

From my short time on this forum I'm guessing you just whine when the tequila bottle runs dry and the woman won't shut up? :D

Holy cow Jeff! He has got you nailed brother:)

Well Clean, I don't get away from this forum much. I think that is maybe the third time I have ever been on Chris Reeve forum. But it was worth the effort. Man if that thing was 3 months old....you guys much not have a lot to talk about over there. A thread that old here would be buried 40 pages back:)

Glad to see you here. Maybe you can give us some pointers on what would make our knives look better? :)

So that thread's like three months old, what took ya so long to reply anyways?

Jeez I know, whats so hard about keeping up with whats going on in every sub-forum all the time.

LOL people groaning about this for 3 months.

You guys ever wonder why "Made in wherever" is always in English? I have tools from Germany, Switzerland, etc and they all are in English. I realize China's market is the US so they print in English but some of these German and Italian brands that are primarily manufactured and used in their own respective countries still have "Made In" in English, not German or Italian. I know of ratchets being made in W. Germany back in the 60's, not for export that say "Made in Germany."

Occasionally, you used to see a "Hecho en Mexico" stamp, but even most of that is in English now.

If I were Chris Reeve, I'd purchase all my products back from you aesthetic-obsessed dancing sprites and give them away for free to the rest of the knife users that pee standing up. (You're included, ladies). And then ban you from ever purchasing one of my knives again. And then send you over to where you belong--with the Cold Steel weirdos.

Pelton pulled it off.

No knife for you!

Thought i was the only one that thought that way.... Not saying their stuff is horrid, a tad bit over-marketed with Koolaid vids.

That bit of text would probably stir up a whole lot of shit.

Those videos are straight-up ridiculous.

"Oooo oooo, look everyone, for my next super sick video segment, my knife will now cut.....meat. MEAT, I tell you! And, that's not all, it slices..rope! This knife is a one of kind--it's SO sharp, it cuts meat and rope!"

Well, we all know that Idaho is where all the rich folks go to retire and die. ;)

Hey, I'm stationed here in Idaho. It's a beautiful state and I WILL probably retire here. But nobody told me about having to be rich. I may have to re-evaluate my finances to see if I will be allowed to stay.
Sun Valley......now that's a part of the state that all the Hollywood rich types go to.
But seriously, I am amazed at all the gun supplies (Gemtech-suppressors and even cooler stuff), ammunition (Speer/CCI) and knives (Rowen, TOPS and others) that are manufactured right here in Idaho.
Cheers

Hahahaha! Best thread of 2011 imo. That commercial with the Gunny comes to mind...
"Would like a tissue?... (Throws box of tissue past guy)... Crybaby." I can see both sides I guess, but not really. It's not a penis stamp. I've been fighting purchasing Reeve knives for a while, but you guys are making me think of that Umnumm. Unnummyummy, umnummyumnum. You know that one I've been wanting!

I can't give you advice, you got no folders :D

Yeah Chris could give two shits about a fancy knife that looks real good. Maybe toss some mammoth in there with some Hoss damascus. Aesthetics smashthetics.

...oh wait.
Well I was thinking that but I wasn't gonna say it.

On a more serious note though, people want certain knives for certain things. Some don't care what it looks like as long as it does the job, others only want to collect. Me, I got a fixed blade for "hard use" that gets beat to hell, I don't care what it says on it. I've got fancy folders and folders not so fancy. I was looking to grab another small dress sebbie that was sheeple friendly, but not one that looks like a Nascar race car with all it's sponsors on it.
