Made in Idaho:)

I can't give you advice, you got no folders :D

Yeah Chris could give two shits about a fancy knife that looks real good. Maybe toss some mammoth in there with some Hoss damascus. Aesthetics smashthetics.

...oh wait.

On a more serious note though, people want certain knives for certain things. Some don't care what it looks like as long as it does the job, others only want to collect. Me, I got a fixed blade for "hard use" that gets beat to hell, I don't care what it says on it. I've got fancy folders and folders not so fancy. I was looking to grab another small dress sebbie that was sheeple friendly, but not one that looks like a Nascar race car with all it's sponsors on it.

Hey! Thats my favorite car and brand!

The IDAHO MADE car, and my second favorite is the MADE IN USA car.

I forget what numbers they are, or who drives them, but damn, those products they are advertising are awesome.

Apples and kangaroos, man.

Yeah I figure it's a bad forum for that sort of metaphor :D

Jeff, Mike, just outta curiosity, what does Tom think about it?

Well, i guess when some of them buy a knife knowing it will be the only good looking part on them, i understand why they are so upset with the stamp...

This is what Tom posted up

I honestly don't see why people have a problem with this. Isn't Idaho a state? Aren't most people insistant on buying U.S. made knives? What's the problem here?

Hell, I don't even live in Idaho and had a sense of pride simply because it was made in the Northwest... And if you live in Idaho and don't consider yourself part of the Northwest, then let me know 'cause I've always wondered about that.

In any case, I wonder if people would get pissed off if Kershaw and Benchmade decided to start putting "Oregon Made" on their knives.

Only problem with putting ALABAMA MADE on our blades (If they were made here) is Bill Maher wouldn't buy them anymore.

Or KaBar putting "Made in New York" on theirs. Now that would be something to be pissed about. Ethan Becker would have a shit-fit.

And Clean, we are in the process now on a folder. Photos are somewhere on this forum, I think a thread called "ESEE 3 folder" or something like that. We haven't even decided yet what to put on it. You have the chance here to make a difference. How would you mark it up?

A stamp or logo on a knife is only going to upset someone who never had any intent on using it for its intended purpose in the first place.

Aesthetics I guess play a role in some of what we're drawn to, but it terms of function it's a non-issue.

Hell, the only reason why products "Made in Columbia" is because people here hope some of that powder is accidentally left inside...

This was the best post in the thread:

Idiots, all they had to do is put a picture of a potatoe on them.... maybe one potatoe for the cheap stuff and multiple potatoes for finest quality. LOL.
