It appears to have bronze washers. Mine has smoothed out nicely after carrying for the first day today.

Yes... exactly what I was thinking. Oh and I would love a Pacific Salt done in dark blue. I understand the whole yellow for visibility thing but if I drop my knife off of the boat it's usually too deep to chase after anyways.

Reprofiling will take some time due to the very high wear resistance depending one what you are using.

Sharpening isn't all that bad though, ceramics and or Silicon Carbide work great.
