Thank you guys I just ordered one from National Knives as well I'm getting sick of waiting for BladeHQ to ship mine out.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
I just received mine today and I love the look but the blade is so far off center, it is just shy of rubbing on the side. I can't believe that New Graham or Spyderco would ship something like this and what stinks more is now I have to pay to ship it back to them. I am sooooo bummed!
Try adjusting the pivot before sending it back.
I have tried but still cant get it close to center. I was able to get it just a hair towards center but then when I play around with it like flipping it open then closing a few times, it seems to go back to where it was!
Is one of you nerds going to try to do a blade swap already, or what?
Is there any loctite on the pivot screw? It may be unscrewing when you open and close it repeatedly. Perhaps try putting a drop of blue(make sure its blue!) loctite on the pivot screw.
No loctite on the screw! I dont have any blue loctite!
I cant seem to fix it enough so it wont bother me but I will give it another day of trying before it goes back!
I just ordered one from National Knives (a paid dealer member). I'm really looking forward to this knife.
Thanx Jim.
Sir_Mike,
Sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience. I would suggest you send it to us.
thanx,
sal

Can't say anything without seeing the knife in hand.

Let me play with it tomorrow and if I still cant get it right, I will probably send it to you guys on Monday. What kind of turnaround do you have?
EDIT: Will I be able to use the Double stuff to sharpen this steel? I heard that it is quite tough sharpen! Thx.
Tough to reprofile, not bad to sharpen at all, ceramics work great with S110V.
Great, another knife I bought cause this forum. I hate/love all of you.
I still have no clue how/why this handle is better than the translucent models.
Thanks for the reply Jim. I hope I have no need to reprofile! I wont will I? If Sal can fix it if I cant, I just want to be able to keep it sharp!![]()
