Manix2 CPM S110V

Here is what I usually use to touch up, including S110V...

How much do you use the white? For the past several months I've been stopping at brown and am pretty happy with the results. I don't know if it's me, but the brown also gives my hand better feedback. Sometimes with the white I have trouble feeling whether I'm at the edge or not.

I don't use the white all that much, I like the edge finish the brown gives, nice and aggressive. :)

I just ordered one from National Knives last night. That was at 11:00 pm or so. I just received email confirmation that it shipped! Props to National! They must have a crew of knife elves working through the night or something. Very excited to get this blade!:D

So you only use the brown (medium) profile stone to maintain the edge? I was thinking that I could just use the white (fine) on the Double stuff for maintenance but like the idea of the medium better! Works good?

I tend to like more aggressive edges personally. :)

Got mine today in the mail from National. Packaged well and shipped fast. Very nice. Sharp as hell, nice even grinds. New EDC for sure.

All of those models are from seki city japan and the manix 2 light weight is made here in the USA. This may or may not make a difference with the "problems" you have been experiencing with FRN.

Good point. I ordered one from National Knives just now.

Actually I do too and being a noob to sharpening, I had thought my Fine stone would still give me an aggressive edge! Guess I was wrong! Thanks for the tip/info! :D

I have a couple other blades I need to find someone that can put a great edge on them for me! Then hopefully I can maintain them! :)

RichardJ can handle them for you, if not let me know...

Just got my Manix 2 today and I really love this thing my second one will be here on Monday I think I'll give it to my dad.

These knives are proving to be very elusive for me. I'm wondering when production will catch up with demand.

These badboys are in stock over at Bento Box Shop.

Only $50 more than everywhere else :P

People are already paying extra for it...same thing happened with the zt hinderer series.

BBS tacks on about $40-50 to all their Spyderco offerings, so far as I can tell.
I don't know why.
Hence my poking fun at them. But for better or worse, they did do some really popular exclusive sprint runs (PM2, Manix, etc).

We don't understand their thinking but they know better than we do if they are selling any.

As I understand it, right now you cannot buy a new M2 S110V anywhere else at any price so maybe people are buying them at the increased price. Being sold out everywhere else is usually a sign that a Spyderco model is not available, might not be available anytime soon, might be discontinues, might be a limited edition that won't be available again, so some buyers might think this is their only chance. I'm beginning to think maybe they are right but I can't afford to buy one at the inflated price.

Nobody has said though- is the BBS price above MSRP?
