Manix2 CPM S110V

We don't understand their thinking but they know better than we do if they are selling any.

As I understand it, right now you cannot buy a new M2 S110V anywhere else at any price so maybe people are buying them at the increased price. Being sold out everywhere else is usually a sign that a Spyderco model is not available, might not be available anytime soon, might be discontinues, might be a limited edition that won't be available again, so some buyers might think this is their only chance. I'm beginning to think maybe they are right but I can't afford to buy one at the inflated price.

Nobody has said though- is the BBS price above MSRP?

BBS tends to sell their stuff at full MSRP while most of the online dealers I prefer sell at about 40% off MSRP.

And it looks like their price is $149...not a steal but cheaper than it's going to be on eBay pretty soon. :(

I would never go eBay on a reg production knife. I have never gone eBay with close to 30 Spydercos.

I just placed an order with Knife Center this morning and I just got off the phone with them. Mine will ship out today and they said they had a lot in stock.
Also it looks like KnifeWorks has them back in stock

I don't trust KC, they tooled me around for too long on the last preorder and did not deliver.

If KW had some in stock they sold out fast, out of stock again as of 5:40 pm. A person that has to work 8:00-5:30 is at a disadvantage trying to find knives in stock.

From what I have read, KC actually does have them in stock. I preordered from them last week and it shipped out Friday. I went to their site through a link in the email this afternoon to check the tracking number. In my order it lists the Manix S110V with "number ordered: 1" and beside it, "in stock: 1". Now I can't be sure if that's true but it correlates with what I've been reading so far.

So, so tempting (not at BBS prices, though.) I have a hollow 154 G10 one and the tan FFG M4.
This is the color I wish my M390 PM2 had come in - though I do prefer G10 to FRN.
I love the Manix, but carry said PM2 over either because it's lighter, narrower and holds an edge longer.
This takes care of issues 1 and 3.

Looks like my favorite small shop is expecting a few more in just a couple days.
Hmmmmm.

Ordered mine from National last Wednesday, it was here Saturday, already a Manix owner and fan, this one is near perfection, perfect blade, perfect steel, perfect ergos, great price, and it's not boring black. The only real wish would be for screws instead of riveted pins, and maybe a slightly different spring that allows the lock to move full to the rear of the slot before bottoming, and with a hair bit less tension. Can't wait to see what they have planned next in affordable exotic steel.

so...um.. has anyone done a blade swap yet?

I checked mine out and I'm almost certain it would work. The problem is you will need to drill out the rivets on the lightweight to get the blade out. I don't believe spyderco will sell rivets to reassemble the lightweight with S30V blade so you are essentially making two functional knives into one and a pile of parts.

Couldn't you just remove the pivot? The pivot is adjustable.
