As I have personally received a refund for this poor run of spacebars, I can tell you that if something is defective, Massdrop is usually pretty good about taking care of it.

Exactly, Massdrop is not producing these knives, Spyderco is.
 
I thought the same thing $200 is a bit much. And with a 6 month wait time just seems kinda dumb.
 
Wow, you would be better off pre-ordering some stuff from the new 2017 catalog.

Damn, $200 is really steep. I'm going to pass on this one. And that's a Massdrop price! Yikes.
 
Love the idea of a G10/ZDP-189 Delica but that blade finish is a bit tacky in my opinion. Also, with that price... I'll pass.
 
A Delica 4 in ZDP-189 can be had from a retailer for <$100. I really did not have a price in mind, but I certainly didn't think that $200 would be the going rate. Maybe $150 tops, but $200? :(
 
Blade HQ sells knives as is, no returns?

Never mind, Blade HQ expressly provides for returns, unlike Mass Drop:

You are still entitled to like MassDrop, but MassDrop still sells as is, no returns.
 
My opinion is that this is and interesting knife that's overpriced. The price is most likely due to the very small production run but regardless I can find other Spyderco's in a nice steel with liners and premium scales for less.

The only cachet is exclusivity which doesn't turn my crank.

You've not said word one about the knife yet.
 
Wow, $200 is not what I was expecting. I was thinking more along the lines of around $125-$150. I think I will pass on this one as well.
 
The $200 price is not surprising although I thought with a quantity of 1,000 it would be more like $150-$175.

Remember Spyderco Stretch2 with ZDP-189 and Brown G-10 also made in Japan is $210.

If there was a problem with the item - I think Spyderco/Massdrop would take care of it. I think Danke42 is right. You don't want to hear anything about Massdrop; as I have explained that I have received two refunds from Massdrop in the last 6 months. So to say they are as is with 0% chance of refunds is just ignorant. (One return was because the drop was taking too long to be fulfilled by the manufacturer, and the other was due to terrible product quality)

Yea I think the outrage in the comments section is warranted. I was in for that drop for $120, just for the interesting blade combo and limited production. However at that price, I could get a knife I really want like a limited PM2 hahah.
 
It looks like they're not moving too fast. About a hundred sold quick but it's slowed down to a crawl. Massdrop has to order a minimum of 600, so if they hit the 250 mark to make the drop go live, they'll still have a lot of these knives on hand to sell.
 
Like somebody said in the comments, "I see a blue box (%3 chance of getting a ZDP blackout blade) delica drop in the near future if this drop completes"....
