i really have no idea why Maxpedition has discontinued the 10x4 and the 12x5. They seem to be a big hit with us woods types....
I have a bigger dedicated FAK that is in the Truck. It has everything in it. From asherman chest seals to an IV start kit. I am just wanting a Band-aid bag for this setup. Its not a long distance kit.
I must say that I had this set up and let it go. I've tried to like it over and over, actually bought it two different times and sold them both.
I've had three of these and sold them. Well, the first I gave away as a prize on a shelter thread. Originally I had planned on having one on each side of my Saber Cat but the end result was too wide and HEAVY!
Now that I don't have one to play with, I'm wondering how the 10X4 would work carried horizontally on the back of a gear belt, maybe paired with a big chopper. Has anybody tried this?
I went to a musician party at Blackstar Studio on New Years Day, I found out that the Guyot bottle holds 6 cigars securely and safely with out a problem, I wasn't going to need any water. I had my camera, video camera, and the usual PSK stuff.
I have one of these:

It is so light and easy to attach to a belt or pack that it is handy to have. Basically it makes it easy to grab the bottle and have a sip, then return the bottle. Much easier than having to open your pack to have a drink.
I like your thinking......!
