Maxpedition Bottle holder kit, review and pics

I use mine all the time. Stuff in it gets changed around depending on what I'm doing or where I'm going. The picture isn't great but you can just see the lanyard on mt RAT-3 peeking up from the back.

I've had three of these and sold them. Well, the first I gave away as a prize on a shelter thread. Originally I had planned on having one on each side of my Saber Cat but the end result was too wide and HEAVY!

Now that I don't have one to play with, I'm wondering how the 10X4 would work carried horizontally on the back of a gear belt, maybe paired with a big chopper. Has anybody tried this?

Interesting Flix....That might just work nicely.

Only thing Id be worried about is landing on it in a fall.....If you used the pouch to carry a tarp shelter etc, it might not matter, but with a Guyot you could risk a debilitating injury.

well I'm a little late to the party :) but ordered a bottle holder and a cocoon

if anyone is looking for a pretty good deal- ebags has them at 20% off, if your using bing shopping, it's another 20% off- not too bad

I have a bigger dedicated FAK that is in the Truck. It has everything in it. From asherman chest seals to an IV start kit. I am just wanting a Band-aid bag for this setup. Its not a long distance kit.

If it wasn't for the fact that you work with that stuff, I would have to call you a wacker. :p Not stuff the ordinary fool needs to be messing with.

I must say that I had this set up and let it go. I've tried to like it over and over, actually bought it two different times and sold them both. I just really like my Kelty 3100 for an all around pack. I know Kelty doesn't get that much attention hear on the forum.

I just can't get used to having a dedicated pouch/bag for a water bottle. On a side note, now that I have myright jr. riding on my back I just clip a bottle to the rigid frame of the pack he rides in.

I like the setups you guys have a lot and they look super useful, I just couldn't make it work for me.

I went to a musician party at Blackstar Studio on New Years Day, I found out that the Guyot bottle holds 6 cigars securely and safely with out a problem, I wasn't going to need any water. I had my camera, video camera, and the usual PSK stuff.

I have one of these:

It is so light and easy to attach to a belt or pack that it is handy to have. Basically it makes it easy to grab the bottle and have a sip, then return the bottle. Much easier than having to open your pack to have a drink.

got mine, I've added a Cocoon via a Malice strap and added a bungee compression setup so I can throw on a light jacket or such

waiting on a few more bits

I played around w/ the Cocoon today and was pleasantly surprised w/ how much it holds :)

Without any undo stretching of the pouch it will now be home to a light pair of wool gloves, light wool cap and a Buff

This certainly could work well. Snip the center thread on the rear of the bottle holder and slip a belt thru.

Anyone had a Tad Gear Water Bottle Kit or some other brands Bottle holder set up as a kit?

Well with all these ferro rods, flint and steel, char cloth, PJ cotton balls, Zippo lighter an assorted fire starting junk we like to carry, I just gotta have something I can light up in semi civilized society, besides a lot of these musician hanger ons are a bunch of vegetable muching, bunny hugging gun grabbers and I do what I can to shake them up, Don, the owner of Blackstar Studios says his parties just ain't the same if I don't show up and calls me to make sure I'll be there.

There bumper stickers give them away :) The only one I ever placed on my old truck was

Earth First,
we'll strip mine the other planets as we get to them.
