Snapped a pic of my new 10x4..This is basicly what im gonna take for an overnight once the weather cooperates....I made a nice leather baldric for it, and thats my psk on the strap.

Yeah I like to have a pair of gloves......Especially at the moment. I have a good cut on my finger, and a week or so ago I buried a Bass lure hook in my knuckle.

Thanks man. I thought that Baldric came out nice. Its adjustable. I was having trouble finding a strap that was long enough. Im not a fat guy, but I found its waay more comfortable for me to wear when it rides lower.

I fished and bummed around the woods all day with it on, and it never bothered me at all. It was a nice relief from a heavier bag.

Jake- baldric looks good :) do you have your gloves on the included keyper? (that's where I'm hanging mine)

whenever you get a chance let us know what you've got in the kit

we're supposed to get more snow tonight :(

I'm with you on the long strap. I run mine with an old guitar strapped hooked up with two carabiners. Nowhere near as good looking as your baldric, but it's plenty long enough, and at 2" wide, it's comfy. I've slimmed down my setup since I posted it a couple pages ago. I was trying to turn the setup into something it's really not by attaching pouches everywhere I could. It's now slimmed down to just the 10x4 and the E+E pouch, and now that it's spring, bear spray on the other side.

Yeah they are clipped on that rear carabiener. Good spot for em. Ill get a packing list together to post soon.

Bummer on the snow. I feel ya though. A week of cold rain for us. Im just getting gear squared away and waiting for my oppertunity.

Yeah, its crazy how short Maxpeds straps are. Fully let out the are still short IMO. A guitar strap would work very well. A baldric is an easy, cheap leather project. No welts to glue, just some saddle stitching, dye and burnish. It came out great I think. Looks sharp too.

Im with ya on the pouches. Its a fine line between looking like a gypsy and being well prepared. In a perfect world, Id go with no pouches, cause I love the way it carries solo, but adding a small pouch is necissary to cover the basics IMO. I like my pouch on the strap so it keeps the side Molle free to lash stuff too. I need to score some more coyote tan shock cord so I can hook it up like mtwardens setup.

email sent....thanks brutha!

Im thinking im gonna change my PSK pouch to a 3x5 maxped, but the one I use works so dang well. However it would be great to go wider, so I could go slimmer if that makes sense. But if it aint broke as the say.....

no problem :)

the 3x5 is relatively thin (1.5"), if packed full it would probably be a tad thicker than that; I've always been impressed w/ what the various small pouches can hold w/ a little ingenuity, just look what folks get into a altoids tin! :D

So where is the best place to purchase a 10 x 5 hold on line? Seems like we should get a group buy together!

twowolves has them pretty reasonable, they certainly might entertain a group buy- goinggear also might as he carries them as well- they both frequent this forum, may be others as well???

Yeah no joke. They are acually quite roomy!! :D

I'll 2nd the larger one too. I think I may have already posted it, but I bought a 10x4 and it was just a little too small in diameter to fit a Vargo Ti mug.

I was just looking at the Vargo TI mug as I read this. Hmmm...I'm sticking with the 10x4, but need another option for the cup apparently.

the SnowPeak 700 fits, it's a little snug, but definitely fits- to get it out I found putting my hand in making a fist and then giving it slight twist and it comes right out :)

Oh man, Id say so......Still worth it to live up there IMO.

well I'm not complaining, well....... yes I am :D, here's the start of #3 April snow storm in the making- at this rate I should get my bottle holder overnighter done sometime in August :(
