Maxpedition Falcon-II - Long and Pic Heavy!

Dude!!! Use the MOLLE locks from your RC4 to make the bottle holder quick release!

I wasnt goin to use em, because they fit really tight through the loops in the bottle holder. BUT.... They dont fit super tight through the loops on the pack side! Goes on and off easy! Plus by leaving the locks on the bottle holder, you can belt mount it, or use your strap for it. RAT sells just the locks on their site if you like it after you try it. I just used 3 of min to attatch the holder, and re attatch my cocoon. Plus the rigidness of the locks really helps the bottle from bein so wobbly.

Fonly - Haha, I'm happy to add to your list :D Actually I have this prototype thought stealing machine that I plan to get patented soon...I just happened to pick up the thoughts of some Canadian dude....:D

Awesome.:D

After using these RAT molle locks I will never go back to anything else. They are awesome!!!! I forgot to take a pic of my light mounted on the strap. I will snap one real quick.....

My AA zebralight mounted with the accessory clip makes a perfect light for the strap...

I also have the cr123a version, but it is my dedicated headlamp. The tailswitch on it is alot more apt to come on accidently if bumped then the AA version, which is a twisty...

Thanks man, It fits really secure too. Its actually easier to remove it from the rubber bracket then to unclip it!!

Oh and I forgot to tell ya my holder is a 10x4....

I thought about adding a 12x5 to the othersde because I bet my bivy tent or woobie would fit in it rolled up. I freakin love maxpedition stuff. :D

I think with your black PSK belt and the black pulls and pouches it ties togeter well bro. I am liking the rolypoly pouch. I can see it with 1 on each side. It would look like a pygmy falcon on steroids!!

Ok, just wanted to check; I'm at work and don't have the stuff in front of me.

I was thinking about putting one rolly poly on each side, it would hold more stuff (snacks etc.) than the M2 anyway even if I don't put a bottle in it. I'll give it at try later.

Congrats again Jake :)

That would work alot better I think. Those m2s dont hold much. Mine just holds my camera

j williams, are the Grimlocs easy to get on/off? I haven't purchased any, mainly cause I can't think of a good use for them, but would it work for the 10x4 for a quick on/off? (I may have thought of a good use....we'll see...)

They aren't easy to get on/off at first but that's 'cause there's a technique to it. By the time you're done trying them out in different spots on your rig you've generally got it down pretty good. :D

There is a technique to most of Maxpeditions stuff. The old molle attachements and the new Tac-ties. Not surprised the Grimlocs are that way. :D

Yeah he is right, they will work after you get the tech down. I like thhe grimlocks, they are a sweet piece of gear..

I bought a bunch of Grimlocs because they looked handy. When I got them and put a couple on each of my Maxpedition packs, I really doubted I'd use them much. That turned out to be an incorrect assumption. I'm always snapping something on and off them. A hat, for one thing....

Stay sharp,

Hey RK - where did you buy this?

Also - Any problems with the kahki showring dirt quickly?

Hey myright,

I bought this guy (and most of my maxped stuff) from Two Wolves Outdoor. I cannot recommend them enough; their customer service is exemplary .

No problems with the khaki showing dirt quickly, that was actually one of the reasons I went with khaki instead of black. I think khaki and foliage are likely to be the best with regards to showing dirt.

Just revised my set-up and it's nearly complete, will post pics of the finished product as soon as I get everything together. J Williams might post pics of his finalized set-up as well

Thanks bro - I actually just bought a PFII and I will also be buying this pack. I think between the two I should be pretty much be set for dayhikes and short overnighters.

Thanks again for all the pics and answering my questions.

thats a awsome pack i likey, but one ? 4 u ,do you think you can pack meat in the pack an roughly how many poundz,,aloha

Kalama, I dont know if you can do that. I suppose you can, in the main compartment if you stash a contractor trash bag in there...

I will post pics of my finalized setup when my other bottle holder arrives. I ordered another 10x4 from 2 wolves for the other side to stash my Kifaru woobie in, or another bottle.

Ive ordered from 2 wolves quite a bit. Great company, fast shipping.
