MBwirenut Doesnt Deliver

Ok guys. Calm down. The next question is this: Is MB still alive:confused: ? Is he in the U.S., or South America:confused: ? Has ANYONE spoken to him in the last week:confused: ?

Why is your cell phone disconnected?
Its my business phone and it is always on. And like every other business day it was in use consistently all day yesterday. But I suppose anything is possible being that my wireless network, like all the others, is not perfect.

Try again, 9a-5p less weekends and holidays.

unless someone asks, which they did. several people have had good deals with mbw, and said so.

no one has condoned his behavior with regard to dol.

past behavior is relevant because it implies he was an upstanding member prior to this deal. whatever has happened since is also relevant.

if there were a pattern of negative behavior prior to this, that would also be relevant.

looking at only one incident gives a narrow view of the parties involved.

well, like i said before 1 bad deal can sure ruin your rep, he needs to send the guy his stuff plain and simple this has been going on a while now........

It's true that every bit of feedback means something, but it is when things go bad that you really find out what someone is made of. Knowing what someone will do when a knife doesn't show up, or if it shows up in a condition that the buyer finds unacceptable, tells us more than when everything goes tickety-boo. It's the same from the other side. If payment doesn't show up, how that is handled tells others a great deal about whether that person is worth dealing with.

If a person is willing to screw someone over once, then he/she is probably going to do it again at some point. Once you show that you are capable of being dishonest, you go a long way to ruining your reputation.

Even if you have spent the money that you were paid for the knife (something you should never do until you have been informed by the buyer that he/she is happy with the deal), man up and admit it. Contact the other person and let them know that you will get them the money ASAP. Your reputation may still take a hit, but it something that you can recover from. Your reputation will never recover if you rip someone off.

Keith,

You are a very wise man indeed.. Your post is right on the mark. You have captured the human character quite literally and your words have a certain relisim that can only be obtained from expeirience, or so it seems to me. I take it you have been burned yourself at some point.. In fact, it reminds me of a knife sale that dates back some 16-17 years ago that I had to make good on.

I recall back in the late 1980's selling a knife via a mail order catalogue in a very popular circular at that time. Mind you now, this was a time well before ebay and forums like this one.. OK, sent a Case XX 1940-64 Barlow to a fellow in North Carolina who I struck a deal with. Long story cut short he claimed to have been ripped off by somebody or other, as there was a hole in the envelope that I sent it in and of coarse I did not insure it.. Well, I immediately sent his money back to him to his satisfaction and I never used an envelope again when partaking in knife sales. From that time forward I use, and continue to use boxes with insurance or at the very least "Delivery Confirmation", and for the most part USPS Priority Mail boxes. I learned a valuable lesson regarding that deal. Cover Your Ar$e and treat others as you would like to be treated.. As Keith says in two words: "Man Up."

And just think Keith; it took over 19,000 posts for someone to say you are wise!!!!!!!:D ;)

True in this case, very wise words you have spoken................

like i have said, i am in now way condoning what mbw has done.

he is wrong, and needs to make it right.

however the fact remains, he made many deals without problems before this one.

and quoting only a portion of what i posted removes the context.

my post was in response to sunnyd's, nothing more.

i have supported dol from the beginning.

and quoting only a portion of what i posted removes the context.

Once again I am only quoting a portion of what you posted because that is all I am commenting on.

I don't feel that I need to quote your whole post, because it just means that people have to read it all for a second time, and it didn't really do much to change it's context. I realize that you have supported Paul since the beginning, but my comment was directed at the idea that former good deals mean something after you have ripped someone off. I really don't care how many good deals a person has had. Rip someone off once and your reputation is shot as far as I am concerned. The reason I only quoted a portion of your post was that was all I wanted to address.

couldnt have said it better myself keith.

like i said before one "oh shit" cancels out lotsa "good boys"" imho, just like in the military.

also imho all his prior deals mean squadutch if he rips this guy off, and its not looking good, maybe he will get right with the guy, but it sure shouldnt take months to get your stuff, the simple fact that he has not gotten hold of the guy or posted here for WEEKS does not to me indicate he's a good guy in this deal.

& its THIS deal that we are discussing unless i'm confused lol.

i was gone over the weekend and figured this would be taken care of by now, but nooo contact yet i dont suppose.................

Do I get to call BS now? All of the money was refunded via paypal on Aug 3, started all of the paper work on july 24 to refund you. It all shows completed and money has long since been with drawn from the bank account by paypal. I have to wonder if this has all been BS in the first place. Care to comment? Can anyone tell me how to save a screen shot I will post the transaction logs on here.
