Meaning of your forum name

holeymoley was the lucky "horse" in the movie version of Popeye. From the scene where Wimpy took Swee'Pee to bet on the horses and Swee'Pee whistled whenever he knew the winner...you know, in the house of ill repuke.

BTW, OldPhysics, do you do research, like at a particle collider?

When I repoeted to my ship in thenavy there was already someone in my division named David, so they called me junoir to keep from confusing us. It's stuck ever since.

Did the guys on the ship misspell it too?

RBMCMJunior

Nickname from way back, remember Hawaii 5-0.The lead guy would go "Book'em Dano" every time they caught the bad guy. My friends started calling me Dano, then Book'em, so I've used it as a log on name cause it was easy to remember. It doesn't get used as a nickname anymore, those friends are somewhere????

Chickenplucker, its what I do for fun when I'm not trolling the knife forums! :) I have a good cartoon that defines it but every time I use it I get an infraction.
Actually its the nickname for almost anyone in the poultry industry.:D

Mine means a good sharpening up for a bit of the old ultraviolence.

mine was gleaned from a Len Deighton novel, part of the Bernard Samson series.

it is apparently German for "one who walks alone in the woods"

I think the particle collider might be more rbmcmjr's thing than mine.

But yes ... with different gear ... I used to. When young and filled with enthusiasm and ideas.

Now, older, greyer, and less well-filled, I am seldom allowed to get my hands on the research gear.

*Sigh*

Mine means I was too lazy to use caps or the spacebar.

And morepowerfulthangilgameshquetzlcoatlandsupermancombined seemed a bit much.

My name is Carlos, when I was about 7 years old I was totally addicted to GI Joe (foreshadowing my Busse addiction) and I needed a code name of my own, like Snake Eyes or Gung Ho. In school we learned about palindromes, which are words that are the same backwards as forwards, like kayak. So that got me to daydreaming in class, as I often did and I turned my name backwards -- Carlos to Solrac and then changed it, to spell it "correctly" to Soulrack. Which has literally been my code name since 7 years old, which is over 25 years.

When I started joining forums I added 23 for my love of the writings of Robert Anton Wilson and his chapter in Cosmic Trigger about the obsession that William Burroughs had with the number 23. He/they analysed the coincidences associated with the number 23, and it has nothing to do with that crappy movie I did not see although I am sure the writer stole the idea from RAW... Later I added another 2 to the 23 to make it 223 celebrate my addiction to the EBR (Evil Black Rifle).

Now my Hog Name is Soul-Rack'0Ribs because I'm from Kansas City and I can smoke a mean rack of ribs!

No_b00st... Most of my internet presence is on VW Forums (VWVortex, NCDubs, Carolina Euros, etc etc.) For a long time my name was Mr_b00st but then i sold the Volvo and got a non-turbo VW. So I decided on No_b00st because A) I don't have any, dammit and B) That makes me relatively unique in the VW scene. since it's mostly 1.8T and 2.0T guys out there.

A friend of mine dubbed me "Desert Dan" in an email when I was serving in Iraq. I decided to use it as a forum name when I became involved with different forums.

Dan

Orrey was a dog I used to have. His name was from Robert Horry and Oreos. Robert Horry because the dog was born during the Rocket's second championship win and Oreos becaue he was a black lab. The two other dogs in the litter were named Hershey Clyde and Hakeem and given to a friend and neighbor.

45 is because 13, 7 and 42 were taken.

I use this name for pretty much everything.
