Meaning of your forum name

Mine is a carry over from cycling forums.

My first mountain bike was a Giant so I called myself Giant1.

Old name I used to use when I played a lot of video games (prior to wife and kid). Specifically a MUD, if anyone remembers those things. But I wanted something somewhat origional so I took a character from a book (Corwin of Amber), changed it slightly so it'd be a bit more unique, and I've just kept using it for the past 15 years.

drift draft v. (driift-draaft)
1. The act of happily drifting down river/creek drinking draft beer made more popular by recent size reductions in kegs.
2. The act wandering aimlessly drinking large quantities of draft beer.
Other possible meanings.
1. The act of idiot driving a P.O.S. Japanese car sideways while following another idiot

My home network is labeled as Amber and the computers are named for members of the family: Dworkin, Oberon, Corwin, Fiona, and Flora. The wife and daughter wanted female names for theirs.

I love the summer. I live in Cetral NY where winter is from October to May and Summer is July 10th to August 20th. Peace.

Kinda boring, but here it is.

When I first started with my present employer, I was in a Help Desk environment.

Had some merchants call in ask for "that Mike guy" so I could troubleshoot their point-of-sale equipment problems, having been referred by their sales reps.

Co-workers and management started calling me that all the time, and some of the old timers still do..

When I signed up for the forums, I was gonna use it, but since it was my first foray into the Internet, I didn't want my name being out there, so I shortened it to just "thatmguy", and so it is to this day...

Aight, who's next??

Everybody knows how I got my forum name:D:D

Actually I had a contest awhile ago and sent my first cheesecake to the winner!!!!

The "0" represents a heart, since there are not any hearts on the keyboard, why, because we all LOVE AMY.

Thanks for all that you do for us Amy. You ROCK!

REGRM16 is short hand for = Registered Receiver M16 or transferable M16 machine gun. What would Sarah Brady say!

Here is the M16 (in 5.56 mode) with a few Busse friends. :D Hey how did that Swamp Rat get in there!

Like many others, when I registered I didn't realize the Busse community existed and had no idea I'd actually stick around and be active.
For the sake of an alias I used the name of a great character from the classic 1980s comedy, Real Genius. Lazlo Holllyfeld was an uber
genius who lived in Val Kilmer's closet. Great flick! And as it turns out, the guy who played Hollyfeld later played Uncle Rico in Napolean Dynamite.

There is a lot of red rock in nevada hence RedRockNv. Maybe it's stupid but I like it. I can't be to stupid I have a blk/blk canvas mag NMFBM CG on the way. Or maybe that is proof I am stupid.

Mine's changing next week from Loon to PorcupineMnts66. It's place I go every late october to cold weather camp and hike. It's nicknamed the "Porkies" but is officially the Porcupine Mountain State Park near Silver City on Lake Superior shores of the UP of Michigan. For the midwest.... it's about as remote as you'll get and there is much history in that park from years of copper mining.
I don't see people for days when hiking that late in the year and theres no bugs, just black bears to deal with.

I really like the Sig P220.

Over at AR15.com I used tried to sign on lat one night with that screen name, and manages to screw up the email address, and no joy.

Had to re sign-up with a new screen name, so I used the description of the gun I actually carry most every day, the P220 Carry.

.45 cal goodness in a Milt Sparks Versa Max II.

The creative juices were apparently flowing when I came up with mine, which is my last name. And, I let it all hang out by using all lowercase.

.

I used to do some car racing, I.E. SCCA club road racing, Pro rally, Autocross, one day, someone added the "CCI" to the end of my last name thinking it gave it an Italian sound to it, and they though it ought to be worth 30MPH more. It stuck and has been my nick name for over 30yrs now. :D

My 3 initials, plus my "riding handle" when I used to do the Sturgis bike rally on a regular basis. Never used my real name down there, kind of a safety thing.
