Thanks for the chance for such a great giveaway - how very generous of you

I do not only admire your work and constantly monitor this thread,
in fact this great little "cloud shield" trapper was my very first custom slipjoint ever:

It's a pleasure to carry (and use!) it

Please count me in

A very generous offer!

Your knives are all outstanding. I particularly like the swayback jack with the wharncliff blade.

If I won, though, I'd probably request a nice 3-Finger fixed blade with one of those beautiful Parsons pocket sheaths, or a Back Pocket with a Drop Point blade.

Rick I have been following your work for a few years now. I have seen your craftsmanship and quality increase exponentially. This is an amazing giveaway and very generous of you. Please count me in on this. I would love an opportunity to work with you. As for me, my favorite knife I have is an old 1960's Voss Cut Co stockman that I got a little over a year ago. It is an amazing knife. The grinds are even, edges thin, snap, no blade play, just as close to a custom as you can get without having a custom. Easily my favorite knife I own, surpassing even my venerable 8OT.

I have spent quite a few hours looking at your custom slip joints!

This is one of my favorites!

I would love to see that pattern in antler, or mammoth etc.

I would also love to see your take on a sunfish pattern. Or even the Whaler (GEC's name for the big two bladed middle swell).

Thanks for the giveaway!

Rick, I am new to this forum and have recently discovered your knives. They are simply amazing and you are very talented to say the least. It is very generous that you are giving one away and hopefully I will have some "beginners luck" on my side.

I've been lurking around here for a while enjoying good photos and knife discussions. Your generous offer has prmpted me to make my first post. I'm hoping for beginners luck. Love your knives.

This is an incredible giveaway Rick, and the winner will have a gem that'll last a lifetime, whether it sits around and looks pretty, or (hopefully) it gets carried and used.

Here is a picture of my favorite pocket knife, the Case/Bose 2004 Muskrat.

And for an "outdoors" shot, this is one of thousands of rock drawings (called petroglyphs) from the Petroglyph National Monument outside Albuquerque, NM.

Thank you Rick for the chance and for your support and contributions to BFC and the knife community.

I have admired yours for a long time, since VCM brought them to everybody's attention. I think you have mastered many but the swayback is my favorite model of yours that I have seen. I recently lucked into a great deal on the knife below and it is in my pocket now, but I would love to have one of yours. Thanks for the great giveaway.

My favorite pattern is the Sowbelly. I am not particular regarding the maker as long as it is well made. I just love the Sowbelly!

I also like the Trapper. and, and, and!!

thanks for the chance!

I was lucky enough to come into possession of one of your knives last year, and I'd love the chance to own a second one. Thanks for the chance, Rick.

Rick,
Generous giveaway. I enjoyed fondling a few of your knives at this year's Blade Show and I'd love to own one. I'm in and thanks for the chance!

Wow- I've just now joined the BladeForums (came across them in the past for knife carry law discussions, etc.)- I have carried some sort of pocket knife (however until around 10 years ago only SAK) since I was at least in middle-school, perhaps earlier. It would be amazing to have a work of art in my pocket. I fear I may not be as up on these older traditional knives as others here though. But, can I pass up such a generous contest? I can't bring myself to not throw my hat in the ring! Your work is gorgeous!! I kind of hope someone else gets it incase as a newbie to traditionals I don't understand everything as well as others who've been collecting them for years, but rest assured, if I do win the contest, the knife will become a prized possession!

Good luck to everyone here, and thank you for your amazing kindness, Rick!
-Allen (the newbie)

Wow this is a great offer and thanks for the chance. I'd have to say my favorite knife at the moment isn't a traditional but a spyderco military. Never owned a traditional slippy. They're just out of my price range.

Im a definate admirer of your work.Your knives are beautiful. Thanks for the chance.Pic is me with two of my 6 terrific grandkids.
