Michael Morris Friction Folder--Let's see 'em

Hey Woodrow, after you use yours a bit, let me know how ya like it. I'm still on the fence, but swaying dangerously!

Carl.

Carl, I have two now and I've carried one a lot. I was worried at first about it coming open in my pocket because I don't carry it in a sheath, but I've never had it come open at all, and I'm pretty active.
They arrive very sharp, hold an edge well and sharpen easily.
They do require some maintenance to prevent rust, but that's okay with me!
I highly recommend getting on his list!

Will do. To be honest, as rare as they pop up for sale and as fast as they get snatched up when they do..... it must be alright. ;)

Thanks for the feedback clutchcarter. I figure they will patina right?

Those are some beautiful knives there
I have never owned a friction folder but that will change I think

I know I'm necromancing an old thread, but since this thread heavily influenced by decision to ask Mr. Morris to make me a couple of knives, and since they arrived today, I thought I'd share them :)

Fresh from the mail box, we have a warncliffe from a farriers file, and a drop point from a double cut file. He also made two leather pocket slips for them, and included a couple leather keychain tags.

Fit and finish are great! Can't wait to run 'em through their paces this weekend, and I'm excited to try out the bottle openers on them :)

I've only just rediscovered "Friction" after owning one years ago . I just bought a Svord Mini to reacquaint myself with the whole thing while I wait for a custom one to arrive from South Africa .
Thanks for bringing this thread back to life , it's given me some ideas and a few knives to drool over :)
Those are very nice knives .

Just got mine in yesterday. Really impressed. I knew I was going to like it from looking at photos, but it's one of those things that's just way better in person. I'm a bit surprised that you don't see more of them on here, particularly based on his wait time (he's obviously busy). No complaints here, mind you. It was definitely worth the wait! :D

^^^ Looking great Barrett:thumbup:^^^

Glad it finally came in for you there. Nice warren cliff blade choice along with the rest of the knife. Really looks SHARP. ;)

I'll toss mine into the Morris Bladeforums vault.

Nice to see this thread pop up :) Congratulations Barrett

Very nice Dan

This one has lifted more than it's share of caps!

Don't overlook Michael's fixed blades either..........

Those are awfully appealing to a guy who has a couple of Anzas and a Svord peasant knife.
