Micron, Monkey, Memes, and Mods

Well, if you are getting and taking advice from Nathan and Larrin, you are on the right path!
So many people there are a wealth of knowledge, just wish I could have broken into the bali (clacker?) crowd 🤣 🤣

I thought the survive buckets had survive written on them but I can't find any pics of them. Both of the ones here don't have anything, can anyone confirm if there was survive written on them?

We did go through and take all the survive stickers and logos and written mentions off of everything. I'm hoping we didn't clean it off the bucket lol

I think jb (or someone) may have added that to a pic. Don't think the actual bucket had survive on it.

I'll write it on there, but that's going to be the only survive reference in the whole shop

I was planning on the drop being pre-blade show, but we had some complications with hardware and our secondary bevel fixturing. Our current ETA for the first drop is 2 weeks out, potentially end of month if we run into more issue.

We are working on hardware, secondary bevel, bringing the average bess number down. The second iteration of the fixture for the middle step of the sharpening process was just completed so that should help us quite a bit. (Pic attached of it mid welding) PXL_20260610_133928002.jpg

I really wish you luck. We need more knife makers from PA. I can't understand with PA's rich history of steel making and machining, that we don't have more here. Not to mention Dr Larrin who lives near Pittsburgh.

Would love to see in a few years you could give people a tour when they stop by.

Thank you! I completely agree, we have a huge volume of manufacturing in south central PA that is booming at the moment. There are so many labor and educational resources that could easily benefit the knife world, it just needs to make its debut.

We're up to three tours for people following the micron journey. If you're in the area I'd love to show you around!
