Mike Turber banned by Reed Exhibitions

Sorry Mike, not a very nice place. Now I understand why you are selling off you old stock. Nothing is legal it that state.

Funny thing is, that IS part of the reason. Cool thing is San Bernardina county is the easiest to get my CWP in.

Same guy but I don't know him and I don't see my number or info anywhere on his site. Let me know if you guys find it anywhere.

Hey Mike,

About that #1 5/95 UDT on Ebay. Is it a smaller model than the other mini-UDT's or did the Cali/Ebay legal rule go up to 2.25"?

Because if it's a regular sized mini-UDT I'm interested in it.

Thanks.

so is this Emerson Kerambit ripoff a M TECH or not...who gives a $hit who is selling it on EBAY...who is making and distributing the phucking thing ?

I think something aint right here...someone is hiding something.

That is one question I have Mike. Why does one of your "Boss" knife have the M-Tech name? Did you end up selling the design or is it a group effort?

CrazyFool, Email me offline. Not the place to talk business in here. I tried to PM you you have that feature off.

the45guy, What Kerambit knock off are you talking about?

The M-Tech's are from Master Cutlery. They ordered from the same factory we did. The whole deal went sour and Master Cutlery and I are in talks to resolve the issue. So far there is no solid agreement with them and I put the BOSS project on hold until things we ironed out. Long story but my goal is the have the designers paid from Master Cutlery.

I think I might know what's going on. If you remember Mike was having problems with the factory he originaly contracted to do the Boss line saleing them out the back door to other companys that included Joy Enterprise's and Master Cutlery (M-TECH). Mike confronted Master Cutlery and they agreed to pay for the designs that were from Boss. Mike bought some of these knives to fill back orders and to be able to offer the designs until he could get in the actual knives with the Boss logo on them. If you look in catalogs such as Frost Cutlery, Master Cutlery and Joy Enterprises they are 99.9% ripoffs of popular knives from other companys and makers. I dont think that Mike has anything to do with the Emerson Kerambit ripoff, I'm not even sure its an M-TECH as the M-TECH's have thier logo printed on the blade. Too many players in the knockoff game to try and pin everything on one guy. Mike if you gave it all up and never got involved with anything knife related I'd understand.

FWIW i regularly see a guy selling about 6- 8 tables full of clones at the austin gun/knife show every 2nd weekend of the month at the crockett center in austin, name of "jim" or "jimmy" i wonder of its the same guy??? he's been at the show as long as i remember, certainly the last 5-6 yrs. a few yrs back he was selling fake spydies (ie delicas/endura/etc) w/the round hole, and i guess spydie got on him, and he(somebody anyway) changed the design to a stud, but anyway he jakked the price on the round hole models and called them "rare", lol. but hey, this guy has a lot of knives, i mean boxes and boxes full, so who knows who is actually importing them??

i will look this time if i make the show and see the name and if any EKI style kerambits are present. i really have never paid more than a passing interest before, its all crap anyway, but i will check next time

Mike:

I ordered a couple of Cheetahs and a couple of sheaths over the weekend. The money has alreayd been Pay Pal'd to you. The shift in your business will not affect shipping these items, will it?

Thanks.

poboy, I will answer your email tonight when I get a chance to read it.

Sharp Phil, Your order will not be effected at all. Message also sent via PM

SIFU1A Et all, For what it is worth I have never, ever imported any knock off knife. ALL the knock offs I sold a long time ago were nearly all from Mastery Cutlery (then called Double 8) and other suppliers.

Also in the "What I am doing about knock offs" arena, I will be called on to testify at future trials involving knock off companies. This is an actual legal agreement I have. It is alos part of my reasoning to dump the items I have. After I move to California there will not be a knock off knife in my possesion, ever again. I did wrong in the past, I know thaat as I have already admitted too numerous times. The difference is I am ACTUALLY doing something about it. Some things I can say here, some things I can't. Many people can not stand the fact that I elude to "behind the scenes" stuff. Sorry about that, but that is the facts of the case.

Cyblade, if really close to the actual problem. I was assured that we would have control over the BOSS line. When that fell apart I had to actually go to China to see for myself what is REALLY going on. I have a huge amount of info now and I sit back in comfort knowing what is and what is not going on.

My life has been pretty much an open book here on the net since opening BFC. I have taken the hits, I am still here, I understand the Turber bashers and I am cool with that. I also know it kinda looks like the "pot calling the kettle black" (where in the hell did that saying come from anyway?). The difference is now I am no longer the pot, I am the burner.

EnJOY

The burner is still black. ;)

No but seriously...I hope you have changed your ways for good. The only thing I wonder, is if Joy could use the fact that you are selling knock-offs on ebay against you. No matter what your intention, you're still selling them.

Couldn't they use that against you?

nobody has still stated who is behind the M TECH line .
Are these knockoffs on Ebay M Techs or not ? You can sure as hell bet that Emerson won't take this laying down .
I can only hope whoever is behind these will be stupid enuff to show up at blade and try to sell them , it will get real ugly real quick.

selling knockoffs regardless of when they were made is wrong .

something still aint right here and I wish someone from MTech would step up and say whether these knives on ebay that copy the Emerson Kerambit are theirs or not .

someones got some splainin' to do

Mike said that the M-Tech names belongs to Master Cutlery. The knives in question are not marked M-Tech so far, but according to "Jimmy Blades" they are M-Techs unmarked 1st production run. Anyway, I woudn't hold your breath waiting for Master Cutlery to come here and respond.:D

Yeah. And people get attached to rats...

Yep M-Tech's are from Master Cutlery. I am not sure if that Kerambit is from them or not but according to a phone call I had today with a dealer it sure appears as such. I talked with Master Cutlery today, before the Kerambit issue, and my dealings with Master Cutlery are not over either. Also until I get a clear final word on the M-Tech issue in regards to my designs and those of the BOSS designers I must remain secretive.

Poboy your clear answer will have to wait a couple of days but I do have a few questions I will need to ask you before then.

I will find out about the Emerson knife and give you a clear answer tomorrow if time permits.

As far as joy using my selling old stock against me, well I am not sure how they could use it and I really don't care. I left them with clear instructions to not screw with me and I will not screw with them. Simple instructions as far as I am concerned. I have yet to be served and openly suggest they drop the issue as far as their case is concerned.

Again has anyone seen this "Jimmy Blades" using my name or number. I would really like to know.

Can anyone somewhere give me an update on what the H*** is going on with WOW? About a month ago I placed an order from Turber for 4 knives. On the 20th of May my card was charged for those knives and I have yet to receive them. I have sent an email which has not been answered and I also left two voice mail messages today and nobody answers the phone (I called both numbers). On top of that I am reading all this crap about a feud that he is involved in and is also getting out of the knife business more or less!
Jeez, I think that I have been more than patient (not one of my strong suits) but when I cannot even get a status of my order I tend to get a little aggravated.
Any info that anyone can provide or give me some ideas would be appreciated

Thanks for your help!
