Mike Turber banned by Reed Exhibitions

lol @ this Kevin Tan guy being the renaissance man of blade design.

If I see through the legal issues and look at the two parties involved, it seems clear to me which party is doing the right thing and which party is hand wringing, scheming and out to make a buck on the battered backs of others.

One of them I applaud and the other I give a BIG THUMBS DOWN... regardless of who is "right" according to the letter of the law.

I learned a long time ago how to tell if someone is lying. I have since learned the method to determine if a lawyer is lying, but the punchline escapes me.

I do not feel however that Mr. Bryan is lying, his is just simply misinformed and obviously acting on the best interest of his client.

I have been advised by many here that I should shut up and let this play out. I have been very careful in my wording since my first post, which can be argued. I back each and every word I have said but agree that I will let this go for now. My words are true as I know them, my deadline is firm, my resolve is solid, the end is certain, victory is near. Damn I sound like Bush!

Thanks to all who support me both public and private. Those who brought forth opposing opinion I also thank you. Without each I can not make an informed decision.

I will not respond to either thread until served, unless Mr. Bryan responds or until such time as we have more news worthy to report.
 
Mike, As a 3rd year law student who has spent too much time on BFC, please, get an attorney (welfare for the legal profesion...i know) and please take this offline.

This is for the trial court and the bar to deal with, and although entertaining, I think its not in your best intrests to keep this going online.

BTW, if you know EE personaly, pressure him for a production waved CQC-8, will ya. I'm jonesing for one.

Mike I have stood behind you from the get go. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't currently disappointed in you.

See recently there was a thread on KFC about a Ti UDT for sale on Ebay. Serial #1 Well I started to ask myself. How does someone get such a knife??

Then I noticed something, The 800 number listed in the auction is the same one listed here

What bothered me about all of this is the large list of knock offs you have listed here

I see Benchmade, Spydercos and Microtech clones in there :confused:

I always thought bladeforums was run by "spark" the person who owns 1stop... :confused:

Here's my take...
people rarely take up time comsuming, financially draining crusades on mere principle. Principles make you feel warm and fuzzy all over, and some people will donate a few dollars here and there for a good cause, but not to the extent Mike had been doing. What he did amounted to harassment. It seems now evident that Mike was doing so not out of a "higher calling", but as a bashing technique against his competition.

Hey, I don't know Mike and I'm sure he's a great guy... shrewd...all is fair in love and war...

You guys who supported him must feel like idiots though...:D
 
I think Mike said he was going to sell design-theft clones in order to get them off the market and then sell his knives.

But he has been selling counterfeits for profit which places him in the exact same league as Joy Enterprises. I wonder if he has any connection to 'Jimmy Blades' who is a large scale counterfeit seller and is a huge scumbag. The only difference I see is that 'Jimmy Blades' flaunts and taunts makers and blatantly sells design stolen clones. Mike seems a little more covert. But they both seem to be doing the same thing????

You cannot be a Crusader and counterfeit seller, you simply cannot.

It's all for the money.............
