Mike Turber banned by Reed Exhibitions

well, I do remeber Mike saying he was going to sell his old inventory. So I imagine that what this is.

I hope your right Dave, but if you look back at that thread you will see that it was supposedly Provantus that was going to sell off its old inventory, not Mike. If this IS the case, then why does Joy have to take all of there Boss ripoffs off the market, but others can sell there inventory over the period of months and most likely years??

I am not out to get Mike or anything. Like I said, I have stood behind him from the begining. The fact that he sold POS china clones in the past does not really bother me. The fact that he does it now doesn't bug me too much. What does is the fact that someone would post thread after thread how they are going to lead the way to rid this world of clones and then several MONTHS later find out that they are still selling them actively. I guess it turns out the only clones that really bug some people are the ones that are taking money out of their pockets :(
 
Dave H is correct and I have no idea who Jiummy Blade is.

Here are the facts.

WOW used to be called World Of Weapons. I shut it down in '98 and much of the remaining inventory was sold at a loss. What was left over when we moved out of the building we were in was placed in storage. I am now moving to California and I am dumping everything that was in storage. I sure as hell don't feel like dragging it out there. I am obvioulsy not doing this covertly as anyone can see by the items on Ebay. Also anyone with a calculator can see the grab boxes are being dumped and way below what cost was so I doubt very seriously that I will make a dime out of this.

There is no double standard here or anything like that. All of these knives have been in storage for a long time and I am getting rid of them. I also understand how it must look but I hope this clears it up a bit. Once all the crap is gone you will NEVER, EVER see me sell it again. And no this is not soome BS story to cover my tracks while I buy more crap to sell. Spark was there and saw all the crap I put in storage and Danny and DC at 888 Knives R Us also can back me up.

There are some good deals in there and I even found the original BladeForums "TO THE POINT" test knives. I should be through the entire batch over the next 10 days or so.

As for a Joy update I have not heard anything from their camp and I have not done anything to stir up the flames. People can do whatever they want to protect their designs. I just did it a different way. Right or wrong I did it my way. I would always rather be a part of the solution then part of the problem any day. My complete liquidation of old knock off inventory is a step in the right direction. Maybe Joy should do the same.
 
No, if you look at this thread and some of the others, Mike started in the knife business with the clones. Then realized what was going on and learned his way out of that market. Then started Dragon Forge to sell licensed clones. In any case, Mike said he still has a garage full of old stock clones he has already paid for that he needs to liquidate. I imagine, but don't know, that these are what he is selling.

And yes, he said Provantus would be clearing their improper stock too. That might also be going through Mike to make it up to him, I suppose, but that's just a possibility.

Be nice to hear from the source though.

I don't feel the least bit like an idiot actually. It sure is great reading the comments of all you guys that must not live in glass houses. I am sure all of you know what is going on here so you're comments are based on first hand knowledge. Yeah right.

I am glad to hear that this will be the end of it. So is 2GuysSelling history as well? I was just shocked to see someone who used to design for MT selling LCC clones. Glad your liquidating your inventory and I wish you luck with your move.
 
The LCC Clones are history as well. 2 Guys Selling is actually where I am heading. An old employee of mine and I are teaming up to import motorcycles and scooters from China. We have been bringing them in for months now and they are selling quite well. In fact they are selling so well we have already outgrown the warehouse we moved into only 6 months ago. So time to move on. I will still have a connection to the knife industry and I will finish the Cheetah project and perhaps BOSS if a few people can yank their heads out of their collective ass.

The WOW Site will soon change to reflect the new direction. Heck maybe with all the models I have for the scooters I can create World Of Women, Incorporated :D

If you have no idea who "Jimmy Blades" is, maybe I have his name wrong. He is selling COUNTERFEITS on his web-site, threatened Ernie Emerson to put the Emerson logo on the Counterfeit Kermabits he is selling and lists WOW's phone number to use after one wins an auction.

Also uses "World N motion" [or something like this]. Now this guy is taunting COUNTERFEITS as a 'great money-maker' and has told makers to 'F-themelves'. He has a special dislike and shows enormous disrespect for both Ken Onion and Mr. Emerson. [can't say it's hatred cause he stated he is making big money off both of them. What a scumbag!!!]

What is his connection to WOW [he lists 1-800-969-7771]

Mike you better be careful, company's like Harley do not hesitate to sue when someone even comes close to infringing on their turf! Especially "clones" of any kind or plays on their logo's etc.
 
Ouch! If all of these things started surfissing on me I think I would get out of the biz also.
 
Mike I gotta ask, your not importing and selling the old BMW Clones with the sidecars are you?

And as far as liquidating clone stock you have no plans on selling in the future you have every right to do so, but than again you don't need my or anybody elses permission to do so.
I certainly don't want to see anybody lose money, and intentended to make no judgement, it was more of a smart a** remark. Best of luck.

T. Erdelyi: No I am not importing BMW clones. I am imorting mostly Geely 49cc scooters right now along with Electric scooters under the Boreem name.

BurkStar: What Harly are you referring too? If Harly Davidson then we are ok on both knives and motorcycles.

I have already tossed about 4,000 knives out. The rest are all being made into the grab boxes you see and once gone they will never be seen again. I would rather just dump them than do anything else. They are mine to do with as I please I guess and I think that after paying for storage and what not i will be way in the hole when done.
 
shots@night, I will still be around and in the knife game, just now it will be only my game with my rules. Keep in mind without me in the knife game this site would not be here ;)
