Misinformed Becker hate?

I'm not a self proclaimed 'survival expert' nor do I pretend to be.... however, I have owned a few BK2 style knives. The BK 2, Condor Rodan, an esee 5, and a Shadow Tech Alpha. All are 1/4" 1095 (or similar) and about 10" long. Spending only $70 ish on the BK2 makes it the best in it's class. The esee and Shadow Tech are almost double that in retail price, but having put micarta grips on my BK2 brings it right up there in that price range. Plus both of these come with a kydex sheath and that might raise the price a bit. The BK2 is a great knife and an awesome value.

. :D

...because he said some dumb things about knives? A little extreme, don't you think?

My comment was in jest.
Yeah, maybe a little extreme...
So how about this?...

Dude needs kicked in the nuts...by a little kid. Wearing steel toed boots. :D

he also contradicts himself by saying he'd go with a carbon steel all the way due to ease of maintenance, but then he chooses the A1 which comes in a stainless VG10. I'm not saying he's wrong, but he needs to make up his mind.

If you need a survival knife for a three day camping trip I’d say go with a stainless steel knife and throw it away afterwards.

Also denounces built-in sharpeners but praises da' Bear Grylls knife for its built-in sharpener.
piece of shit for amateurs. What do you expect from a blade that “converts to a spear” and has a sharpener integrated into it’s sheath?

Written by a committee that never had a meeting?

LOL!
virtually unbreakable

I knew there was a reason I keep coming back to the Becker forum, besides the great knives of Becker. All the sarcasm does warms by little heart.

Everyone knows that the real problem with the BK2 is the slick handles, especially when handled by young children. A young child holding a BK2 results in that knife going into an adult's face every single time.

It's a real epidemic. But systematically building up your calluses helps.😈

I order my BK2 from a company in Tucson that manufactures tactical firearms parts, they are a Ka-Bar dealer, GG&G if I remember correctly. There was a $20 adder for "enhanced scales" I estimate there are from 800 to 1000 dimples in the scales. It sure adds to the traction category.

J/K. I'm referencing someone who had a very brief but entertaining time on the forum. I have no problems with the factory handles.

You need to get that beast dirty, a unbeaten Becker is an unhappy Becker and borderline knife abuse.

You must rectify this immediately by wearing off some of that coating or we'll be forced to contact bps (Becker protective services) which will result in your bk2 being placed in a foster home where it'll have the s$@t beaten out of it daily, and have a happy life.
