MJ&S Knives? Whats going on?

JGS be patient. I dealt with Mark's father for years and he was a class act and so is Mark. Be sure that you will get your knife or a refund. You are in no danger of being ripped off. You just happened to place an order at a bad time. Give Mark a little time and he will take care of it.

Being a dealer myself, I often check out this forum to see what the competition is up to and find out what's going on in the business.

While I have never dealt with him myself, I believe that, if you check this forum closely, you will find that MJ&S Knives is mentioned more than any other dealer on the GB&U forum and the remarks are always complimentary and positive. I don't think anyone else gets as much praise as Mark does for his service.

Let that be an indication that you can feel confident that you will be treated fairly and honestly, even if it does take some time. If there is a problem, there is good reason for it.

I have had to deal with some of the same kind of problems and it can be very distracting. Hang in there and he'll do you right.

I do most of my business with another net dealer, but have had rare occasions to deal with Mark.

Relax.

You're as safe as in your mother's arms.

In the past I have ordered many knives from MJSknives. All the orders went fine except one. I returned/exchanged one knife, well weeks passed and he kept telling me that he had not recieved the knife that I had sent him. Well I was pissed and I snapped. I went to my Post Office and cursed out the Post Master and then demanded they track the package to the location that I had sent it to. Registered, certified with a return receipt. I really went postal at the Post Office. I started 3 different verbal fights with 3 different employees. I was PISSED OFF, I went bezerk with ANGER. After many days the Post Office finally gave me the "delivery date" and the "name" of the person at MJSknives that had "signed" for the knife that I had sent them weeks earlier. This was the confirmation I was looking for, I called MJSknives for the 20th time to tell him that I was right and he had my f-ing knife. He said, that he found it, it had been misplaced when they had accepted the package weeks earlier. Not even a sorry, let me make it up to you. No sympathy for stressing me out and causing a sh**load of aggravation. He should have made it up to me, a discount, something to maintain my loyalty. He did nothing.

Another problem was that he would only answer 50% of my e-mails, forcing me to call him to get answers. Boy, was I pissed. He accepts my package and then tells me, that he cannot find the knife I sent him.

Get organized already.....................

I ordered a new style Harpy(or is it a Merlin) online on August 20th. I am paitiently waiting for it. Since Mark said he was back on August 28, I would be curious to know if anyone has received their order since that time? When customers start getting their orders then I'll know he is really back.

jgs9455: did you pay for the knife up front?
Harikari did getting so upset change anything at all?Don't think so.The man is not perfect, and I've had a couple of good transaction with him.Good guy.Maybe I am lucky.

have a"knife"day

Yes, jgs9455 DID pay for the knife up front. I also did...I ordered it on August the 1st and was charged the 2nd. I bet everybody who has ordered since then have also been charged immediately. As far as I know nobody has received an e-mail from Mark, and we have been waiting for over a month now almost(at least I have...).

I'm very patiently waiting but I figure he should at least send a very short and simple e-mail saying that he's working on it. Probably he's swamped with the possible large quantities of orders he's been getting since then, probably not.

I haven't written him since my last post here a few weeks back. I'm considering trying to contact him again tomorrow, if I don't have an e-mail by then. For those of you who HAVE gotten a response or e-mail from Mark, please say so so I can reassure myself that he's handling our orders. I figure AT LEAST a somewhat detailed status update from Mark is appropriate, even here in this thread. Don't you? I don't think it would take him too much time and would certainly work at straightening things out.

Thank you,

-Flood

I should mention that I have been quite patient with an order placed July 9, charged July 17th. Looks like it got lost, emailed Mark and received reply August 15th that he would resend my order while putting in a claim for the initial shipment. To this date, I still have nothing to show except a credit card billing and will give the shipment until Monday, September 11 to show up before I contact the credit card company to dispute charges. I do recognize that Mark has been going through a rough time, but life goes on and it is time to get on with living.

Harry

He was not organized then, now he is even less organized.........

The wonderful thing about credit cards is ------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>> you can "reverse the charges". He can keep what ever he promised you. You can buy it somewhere else. Call your credit card company and they will reverse the charges.

Hire someone to help you already...........

Share the profits with your employee.

It is now Monday (Labor Day), and I have had nothing except the auto-reciept-reply messages when someone using Outlook reads your emails. So I know he has read them, and instead of hitting reply, he does nothing. Maybe he is so busy catching up, packing boxes and shipping orders right???? I didn't want to cancel because I was trying to be understanding and everyone said he was a good guy. Well I guess I will wait a couple more days and if nothing I will cancel my order and go somewhere else.

Just like with a female, no use buying her drinks if she don't wanna put out.

hehehehe

Forget about e-mails, he never answered my e-mails.

Call him on the phone.

Better yet, reverse the charges on your credit card.

Order your knives from someone who is organized and gives a damn.

I got e-mails today (2) with an apology and A tracking number. This makes MJ&S okay in my book.

Hi guys. I just got an e-mail from Mark stating what happened with the order, and presenting options to keep the order or cancel it and have my card credited for the total amount.

I suspect all of you will get e-mail from Mark soon on this matter. It seems like he is really working at getting things together, so I'm positive that all of us will be able to solve this matter soon.

Nice to hear, but I am still waitng to get a reply to recent emails sent in the last 2 days....

Harry

I still haven't heard crap. Happy for yall who have, but I have got no email or anything. He did change his voice mail message though!

Harikari,

You sound like a broken record...start a new thread already (if you wish.) We all know that Mark "gives a damn," so try to tell someone who doesn't know better.

Mark @ MJS knives is reliable. I know he isn't going to rip off any one. Problem is when you are on top, every one is gunning for you.

Please be patient and it will get cleared up.
