Mnandi: My latest Obsession

From what I see here, I'm not the only one Obsessed with the Mnandi, Great Collections guys and gals and Thank You for Sharing. I should rename this thread and sub My with "Our latest Obsession"
 
I'm excited to say I'll be able to participate this thread soon, finally purchased my first mnandi... an Ivory Mammoth.

It's coming in the mail so I'll post some pictures when I get it.

Nope, this one was on edged specialties. It was the only mammoth I've seen in stock in a while, and I really liked that the white ivory had a little bit of color to it. Most people seem to prefer plain white, but I really wanted just a little bit of color to add some personality..here is a picture from the website:

Unfortunately Thanksgiving plans means I won't be able to get it until a week from tomorrow. Is it bad that I considered going home early just to play with it? :)

I sent you an email. Shoot me a PM or direct email and I'll point you in the direction of a dealer that has 4 (2 Ivory with plain blades, and 2 Bark with Damascus). They aren't listed on their site so you won't know who I'm talking about. I snatched up a few beauties and I'm VERY happy. He'll take care of you.

One of my greatest pleasures is to listen to my daughter play piano. Many years ago when CRK still did specials, they put together this ebony and ivory Mnandi to celebrate her playing. The mammoth ivory inlay is especially interesting. The black discoloring envelops three barely detectable cracks (can see, but can't feel) where minerals were able to seep in.
