Mnandi: My latest Obsession

I'll get the rest in later, these are my favorites of the bunch. Nothing really new, it's been a slow year for the Mnandi on my side.

You are most welcome  I'm very happy it found a loving home :)

Here's my newest Mnandi. Hooked it on Christmas day. Really wanted a Mesquite Mnandi as I have a love-hate relationship with Mesquite. I love the grain, but have been pricked many a time in west Texas by Mesquite thorns!!! Fortunately I am 1) not extremely allergic to them and 2) never needed ole Deets to come and cut one out my thumb!!! Also, Mesquite makes for some good BBQ!!! Though don't have enough here to even smoke a shrimp! Anyway, here she is ...

And now .... for updated family shots .... and like I said, no need for a super wide angle lens for my collection of 8.

My Damascus Mnandis:

and my S30/S35VN Mnandis:

Dennis, you have done it again with the best quality pictures on the forum. Excellent collection of Mnandis

Thanks for the kind words .... though I really don't feel deserving! I find that lighting is still my enemy. Just don't have enough room to work with. I can manipulate one piece okay .... but multiple pieces are my downfall. And that is using three mirrors to try to balance the light among the multiple knives. I just keep plugging along! And thanks Lisa .... I really do like this Mesquite. I was eyeballing this one and a Camel Thorn ..... but the grain in this Mesquite won me over. What makes me more happy is that I got it at a price good enough to almost offset the higher than US retailer price on a new LionSteel TS1 ordered direct from the factory in Italy.

That is one beautiful Mnandi you have there J. It's rare to see one with such an explosion of beautiful colors, Congratulations Brother.
