Of all the Honduran Rosewood's I'd seen, I was satisfied that I'd received the most attractive (my opinion of course). After seeing this one, however, I'm not so sure. The patterns of the grain and the contrast in colors are stunning - congrats.

This is a terrible thread!!!! I think 3 Mnandi's should be enough for my dress-up needs, however, I just wasted 20 minutes of work-time shopping on-line for a new Mnandi that I CANNOT AFFORD right now.... I need to stay away from this thread for my own good!!!!:(
 
I hear you. I was just about to pull the trigger on another one and thought to myself "what am I doing." I was convinced that if I don't buy it, I'll never find one again. I need to take some deep breaths and wait a week or so.

If anyone has a ebony, an ebony damascus, ivory damascus, or other mnandi they'd like to trade, I've got a mammoth ivory, birthdate 10-1-2012, I'm trying to find a new home for..

Lisa, you're going to have to post a new pic of all your box elders to compare with the new one. I'm looking for one like the one you just acquired. It seems they are starting to release more and more like yours(although still hard to find)
 
This is about having fun and enjoying the different flavors of the Mnandi, you don't necessarily have to go out and start buying a bunch of Mnandi's to enjoy their beauty. One is more than enough to last you a lifetime. I get great satisfaction from seeing other peoples Mnandi's and just enjoying the pictures cuz every single one is beautiful IMHO. Please guys and gals don't turn a beautiful Hobby (Passion) into a nightmare by losing control and going into serious debt (for the Mnandi or anything else you collect)

I've had to make this distinction as well. I own a few knives, for sure, but I realized I don't have to own every knife I like to enjoy it. I used to be on the forums a lot to see what new knives I could get, now I'm on more and more just to look at other's pictures, and that's usually enough. Of course, then that one will come up that I cant live without...
 
Please don't worry about me. You inspire, not enable, me. Mnandis are my kind of knife because you can obtain different kinds of looks, much like William Henry's. With my XM-18, I just change scales every so often. If anyone is interested, my entire collection comprises 8 knives. My wife thinks it is huge (the collection!), I think it is quite small. :)

Possibly tonight...most certainly tomorrow.......I will post a photo of the most rarest Mnandi NEVER seen on this thread...EVER.....it will astonish the viewers. You will be like "OMG!...I've NEVER seen that on this thread"....I promise.

Looking forward to it, but I'm betting hoodep, Lisa, Dino or whomever I'm forgetting has seen it! They're "mnandi hunters!" Lol...nothing slips by them!...especially Lisa!
