Mnandi: My latest Obsession

Looking forward to "whole collection" day on the 18th! :D

I agree completely. The old nick is light years above the new in both form and function. I really wonder the reason for switching. I will only ever buy Mnandis with the old nail nick (...)

Glad I'm not the only one to think so! I didn't know about the 'new style' nail nick when I bought mine. Not a huge deal since I like traditionals, but I certainly would have thought twice before buying once... :D

Yeah, I just cannot for the life of me figure why CRK would make a knife harder to open. Very strange. I'm mastering the two finger single hand opening. I have the cuts to prove it.

Expected arrival of this by Saturday.......It wasn't my first choice....but I didn't know I was getting it until my first choice "flaked". Ready for the story of the one I DIDN'T get :) Priceless! The seller was penny wise and $10 dollars foolish. I think I may be better off ;)

Eric ... you dun good for that not being your first choice. Great looking Honduran Rosewood. Like the highly contrasting coloring.

Here are some better shots of my most current Box Elder...had to use Neil's pics, he is able to capture all the beauty:

Very Nice Big_E, I find myself staring at it and thinking how beautiful the complexity of that wood is. It feels like a window into deep space, Awesome Score.

There was some Box Elder brought into CRK from near their location (same state). CRK made a batch of the Box Elders out of it. I know a few of us on this thread ended up with knives made from that wood. I'm pretty sure yours is one of the ones made from that same batch. Sure as heck looks like it.

Lisa, on the clip side just a little bit down, I see a dog (I must be losing it) , if you look you'll see two eyes, the ear and a nose of a terrier. It's another one of those complex beauties that I can stare at all day, like Big_E's .Most Excellent Score, Congrats.

Thank you!...It looks like one of my dad's abstract paintings...LOL
