Mnandi: My latest Obsession

Awesome, looking forward to some pictures:thumbup:

My Burl Boxwood Elder w/Raindrop Damascus has arrived! I know, no pics so it doesn't exist. But the wife and I are going shopping at Best Buy for a better camera tomorrow, so pics will have to wait. I realize it is not an exotic or exclusive model, but it is my very first so you can't imagine my emotions right now.

Having a little trouble mastering the one hand opening as it is a little stiff, but that will give me more reason to play with it. Yea! Okay, bye for now. Thanks to all for the support along this journey.

Congratulations!

You might have my grail right there. I've been assiduously searching for a BE Burl with Damascus to round out my Mnandi collection, with no denouement yet.
Needless to say PICS!
Not because without them it never happened, but because I need to see it

Cheers
J

This is my first Mnandi .... it's a beauty.

Thanks, my aim is to bring as many beautiful Mnandis as I can to our little corner. Group shot to follow on the anniversary of this thread.

Congrats to you as well. I saw that recent purchase you just made. I cannot express how jealous I am.

If I ask pretty please would you re-post your collection. BTW, I did not know BE was anything special. I only got it because it is close in coloration to ivory, which is too delicate for carrying in my jeans frequently.

Congratulations!

This thing showed up on my porch yesterday--abandoned and alone. I witnessed a man in a little brown suit running away from my door, jump in his cube van and drive away.

Meh, guess I'll keep her. I've named her Picky Girl because she doesn't like having her picture taken with my crappy cell phone...

:D

Here is mine, taken with an iPhone (I just ordered a Canon ELPH on Amazon!), and its big brother. You have good taste, timberweasel.

Too bad the folks down at the CRK workshop didn't keep the old style nail nick. If they go back to the original nail nick and make one with juniper inlays, I'm all over it!:cool:

In the meantime, I'm happy with Picky Girl... :)

ETA: that's a helluva knice knife you've got there, Locutus!

Wish my newest BoxElder had damascus:

I agree completely. The old nick is light years above the new in both form and function. I really wonder the reason for switching. I will only ever buy Mnandis with the old nail nick. Here's my Desert Ironwood:

I just subbed your Youtube channel, Lisantica. I'd trade mine for yours if you have the old style. I can't open the new ones with one hand. Oh well. I want a smooth blade so I have my eye on one, an exotic wood, but I'll keep it to myself. Don't want it to disappear off the shelf.
