Mnandi: My latest Obsession

My first Cocobolo and ladder damascus is On The Way! Never thought much of coco, but this looks good and contrasty based on the email photos the vendor sent me. I'm glad I asked if the website photos were stock footage: they were. Anyway, it will be a good companion to my raindrop Box Elder. Pics upon arrival (after the 22nd deadline, unfortunately).
 
Nice catch. I've been looking forever for a ladder dam and mammoth, but the one at TNK is not to my taste. Congrats. As I say in my post above, the stock photos of the knife I bought were, well, stock, not real. Glad I asked.

Thanks to a certain familiar face in here I have my first Mnandi made with thousands year old material in route!
 
Just got off the phone with CRK and I will have my Mnandi next Fall if all goes well.
Mammoth Ivory w/Damascus.
 
Congratulations on taking the plunge and I'm so looking forward to seeing what shows up at your door. Did they give you a hard time when you order because I heard they weren't taking any orders for mammoth at this time.
