Mnandi: My latest Obsession

They did two runs that I know of - and considering the fact that one card is hand written and the other isn't...and the large discrepancy in dates, they are likely from different runs. That's not to say, though, that they aren't from the same batch.

Yep, definitely 2 different runs. I'm not sure how many knives in each. I also don't think they did any lefties the first time around.

New Snakewood to complement my BE w/Damascus. Should have buffed the Renwax off the Snakewood :grumpy:

Nice Locutus D'Borg, two beautiful mnandi's and I like how you have a dark blade (damascus) with a lite scale and a dark scale with a lite blade, great shot:thumbup:

I see the chimp, but the not Thor. Looks more like an old man gazing out to sea, haggard and restless.

Awesome knife franzdom!

Here's my super nice snakewood (it took me close to two years to find this pattern) and some pretty mammoth!

BTW Franzdom's snakeskin above is probably the nicest Mnandi I have ever seen, chimp and all!

I read (I believe in this thread) that some have problems opening the Mnandi one-handed. I'll share my technique which might be unorthodox but it works flawlessly. After a while it became second nature to me and it is now more comfortable than the Sebenza (the Mnandi is all I EDC as anything else is just too large for my use).

1- Keep the pinky on the clip
2- Pinch the blade between middle finger and thumb and pull out until the tip is out of the frame
3- Just continue with the thumb in one fluid motion (don't pause when you switch to thumb only)

Works like a charm for me.

This is how I open my Mnands all the time. Thanks Serg!
