Mnandi: My latest Obsession

Very nice ..... I would be hard pressed to pick my favorite. Both outstanding!

Sweet pair of Honduran Rosewoods...that is one of my favorite Mnandi woods. Amazing grain on those :)

Hello, I saw this Mnandi 3 years ago on a small forum overseas and immedieatly wanted it. I have never owned a Mnandi despite owning many large Sebenzas. However, at the last minute a guy swooped in and got it from right under me. Honestly, I think it was because the seller didnt want to ship overseas. But anyways, I said right there and then that I would not buy another Mnandi unless I saw this exact one again or a fellow member of B.F. let a similar one go. So to my amazement I was looking over some of the smaller forums and I saw it for sale. At first I thought that it was a mistake or a repost or something but it wasnt. Exact same knife, same birthcard, everything. Now Im in no way a Mnandi expert but I have looked at the entire Mnandi pic post and no where is there one exactly like mine. It is basically entirely made up of different dark shades of green. Not only that but it is from 2006 when I was told CRK had some of the best Mammoth Bark they ever had and may ever will. Some say that you only get a chance like that once in a lifetime, well I beg to differ. I contacted the seller and after some serious convincing he agreed to ship to the U.S. and almost two weeks later the Mnandi that I have been looking for, for almost three years was in my hands. I couldn't believe how impressive the fit and finish is with these little guys. I previously never had the chance to even handle one so I didn't know what all the fuss was about. Right when I first opened it I understood how some have such a love for Mnandis and collect them exclusively. I still can't believe that over 3 years later I was able to not only find it overseas but it was for sale. I have never typed in "Ill take it" faster than I did that day. So to everyone out there that has missed out on a knife and think about it almost daily, I am here to say," Have Hope." Anything can and will happen and my story proves it. It wasn't even for sale from the same guy that had originally purchased it from under me, it had changed hands at least once but is still in N.I.B. condition and came with original birthcard, box, etc. Im not the best at taking pictures but I tried my best and I hope you understand why I waited so long to find this one again. Thanks for listening and to all have hope as the one that got away can always turn up, even if it is clear across the Atlantic ocean thousands of miles away. Take care.

Whew! I am seeing A LOT of beautiful wood here lately!!!! What's a fellow to do?!! Looking forward to more pics. I can definitely see at least a couple of faces looking at me in that grain!!

Very nice! I love the shot of all three together DH!
I still can't figure out which Honduran Rosewood I like better, sometimes I like the top one, but that bottom one is so unique!

Man o man, some mighty fine lookers in here! DH, that mammoth looks at home, snug between those Honduran beauts!

Okay ..... who says you can't fall in love more than once? She arrived today, thanks to a very kind and generous hoodep! (who says shameless signature plugs don't work :D) No need for me to come out of the closet .... ever since I saw my first one I have been infatuated with Black Palm. Throw in some of the earlier coated Devon Thomas Damascus and it's a winning combo for me! I would like to introduce you to Mnandi number 11:
