Mnandi: My latest Obsession

No such thing :D

Couldn't agree with you more!!! Super addition, Lisa ...... BUT you had me turning my head upside down to see the same faces staring back at me that I observed in your preview pic!!!!! I was seeing a different group of faces in your pics!!! Now I am getting dizzy!! And .... I am starting to hear voices!!!! And .... the are telling me to look for another Mnandi!!!! Oh boy!

Beautiful Honduran Rosewood Lisa. Clearly one of the finest I've seen. Congratulations!!
There seems to be no end to the character and variation of that wood. :)

Thank you DH. I must admit, I made the purchase after seeing your two fine examples!

Thank you Lisa. I appreciate knowing that, on the rare occasion, I do something right here......
I think you got the pick of the litter in that one! Good for You!

I'm not sure I've caught the obsession, but I backed my way into a Bloodwood Mnandi. I had actually purchased a folder from another maker, but it wasn't finished very well so I sent it back. The dealer I bought it from didn't have a direct replacement for it so I had to select another knife or pay a refund/restocking fee. After a lot of deliberation, I selected the Mnandi. It should be here next week.

Mnandis are just a wee bit small for my taste (I actually prefer the size of the Small Sebenza), but I'm sure I'll get used to it. And I love the fact that it only weighs 1.5 ounces. It should fit right in to my EDC rotation.

Here's a Gabon Ebony I couldn't resist due to its affordable pricing on the exchange:

Time to fill in the blank. "You know you are a Mnandi-holic when ___________?"

Hmmm ..... your name is lisantica. Or maybe ..... you buy another Mnandi because the price was too good to pass up. Wait a minute, those could be one and the same!!!! I love it!

My newest Mnandi was sent to me by my good friend MasterSerg...it is a Bocote with a very nice linear grain pattern and a beautiful deep gold color. I think it is a perfect compliment to my dark green LV and my deep red Honduran and I am very excited :)

She looks right at home with those two beauties! Each one is very distinctive.
