Beautiful Mammoth/Damascus Mnandi Lisa..........!!! I got all my goodies on saturday of last week. Just been in a constant battle of being able to take good pics to post. Driving me crazy....LOL. Indoor's I have given up, will try outdoors for some natural light.

Thanks Dino and nyefmaker...I"ll have to work on better shots because I haven't captured the sharkstooth damascus, it's practically black and white.

Dagnabit! I was hoping I could get my new one posted BEFORE Lisa .... because I knew hers would put my little Camel Thorn to shame!!!! Oh well. Bottom line here is that I am exceptionally pleased with it. Beautiful grain to the Camel Thorn .... and it is an inlay I had been wanting. Only question I have for you more knowledgeable folk .... the blade is listed on the box as Devin Thomas Black and White Ladder Damascus. It also has a sticker saying Stainless Steel. Now, I had thought that the B&W Damascus that DT made was high carbon Damascus. The birth card only says DT SS Ladder Damascus, makes no mention of B&W. Birth date is 2004. Anyway .... on to the pics! (scroll down to post 1518 ... believe that the box is not labeled correctly and that this is, in fact, stainless DT ladder.)

Hopefully someone will chime in about the damascus, but wowza! That's a beauty.
Don't think I've seen many Camel Thorne & damascus....VERY nice, mine doesn't put yours to shame, that one holds its own, congrats!

You know, I have searched high and low and have not been able to find another picture of a CT with Damascus blade. Would imagine they have to be out there .... but can't find another pic of one.

Wow! That's nice! I usually don't like the look of Damascus on Mnandis, but that combo just works!

What a pair of scores! Unbelievable both! But that camel thorn! Wow!

I have a UG Regular from 06 with a B+W raindrop blade and both box and cert only mention B+W. No SS. I agree with you, B+W is high carbon. I don't know if it is the lighting on your pic, but this particular raindrop I am talking about looks blacker than the one above (which looks SS to my eyes). Compare with your black palm Mnandi if I remember correctly.

Completely irrelevant anyway. This is one of the nicest Mnandis I have ever seen! And the inlays are so well matched!

What a beautiful Camel Thorne / Damascus. Wish I had been able to get it, but was concentrating on my other scores that I will be posting as soon as I can get some decent pics. Hoping tomorrow morning outdoors will do better than indoors did this morning. That is easily the nicest camel thorn I have seen. I had one awhile back and miss it. Congrats, glad a fellow CRK brother from the forum scored it....!!!

Excellent Score Dennis, Love the Camel Thorn on that one and it came with a B/W blade, how Awesome is that (I love high carbon damascus) and you paid less than what a new one would cost today, Congrats brother:thumbup:.

Thanks .... but after a full day looking at it, comparing it with my other Damascus blades, I can only assume that the card is correct (indicating that it is stainless ladder) and the box got one sticker on it that shouldn't be there:

I don't have a DT B&W Damascus blade for comparison, but it sure looks very similar in color and light reflection to my stainless DT blades. However, this is the oldest CRK I own and don't know how the boxes were labeled in 2004. The next oldest I have is a 2006 with raindrop Damascus. It has a label which clearly says (much like all the other ones with Damascus blades) Stainless Damascus Raindrop .... no label that just says stainless steel and an additional label with the Damascus pattern. So, it could be that they put the wrong pattern label on the box. I may eventually contact CRK to see if they can provide more info .... just hate to bother them with such a trivial matter from so long ago. Besides, it is not super important to me at this point .... since I love her unconditionally! And you are right, I dun good, so to speak. Since a new one with standard inlay and Damascus is running 540 now (per the 2013 price list), this one, with its (what was and probably would still be considered) premium wood inlay came in at pert near to what I would have paid for it new today.

There's so much I like about this knife -- those elusive greens, the way cool sharktooth, and the front/back symmetric 65%/35% bark/inner_cut at a diagonal really works with the clip and the pivot. Congrats on a great win, Lisa! I'm glad I withheld bidding against you :), and great to have the knife land in our little Mnandian community.

Hopefully others received their goodies today, here is mine, with just a quick photo.
