Thats a really clean and cool knife! I love scrounging for parts for my knife making. Everywhere I go I wonder 'Could I make a bolster out of that? Would that make a cool shield inlay?' I like the look of this a lot, it's got that clean and blocky bolster and then the natural and smooth micarta.
Can you sand sunbright acrylic without losing the the glow in dark to give my hands something to hold on to? And how would I go about doing this? And is it possable to remove the old yellow mark from the blade to make this one perfect![]()
Finally finished mine up. Here's a before pic

It a Schatt & Morgan gunstock, worm groove bone, ATS-34 steel. The blade had a low saber grind on .139" blade stock (!). It was also super thick behind the edge, making it a terrible cutter. I reground the blade and swedges, acid etched the blade and spring, made some of my own denim micarta, added a lanyard tube, and rat tailed the bolsters. Here is how it looks now.

This was my first time modding a slipjoint, and I'm super happy with the way it came out! It's got to be one of my favorite knives now. There's a work in progress thread here:
