Mods, Regrinds, Cerakote, and Sharpening

Josh,
My son was finally able to come home today. The first thing he asked was "where is my knife?" He took the one he had in his pocket out and replaced it with the Adamus that you did for him. I talked to him later on after he has got back to his apartment. He said if he has pants on that knife will be in the pocket. Thank you for an awesome job. I bought the fixed blade version at Christmas. You and I may talk about a little work on it. Let me know your thoughts on that project.

This was a fun project! removed the recurve and fixed the tip to make it pointy again, also modded the swedge.

Awesome Derek! Glad to hear he liked it! Yeah man just lmk on that fixed blade.

Thanks bud.

I never realized I never left a reply about Josh's work. I sent my Emerson Tiger to him with some chips in the blade, and a little wear on the tip. It came back to me sharper than a scalpel. If you're thinking about getting some work done by Josh, don't; go ahead and make the jump with his work, because it's well worth it.

Thanks Tony! I really appreciate the props :)

Josh, your work is outstanding.

If you ever decide to make your own sharp slicey things, I'll be first in line.

Hey Josh question for you. How well do you think the duracoat treatment will work on an aluminum Hinderer modular pen? I got a short length body for the pen that's off in tone to the original and figure might as well make it customized to my taste.

Thannks man! Dude... you don't know how I want to! Haha. Probably start w/ kitchen knives but eventually want to get into folders if I can get a mill first!

Well I don't do Duracoat, I apply Cerakote and it should hold up great for that... I've done several Ti pens for a knife maker in all sorts of different colors =)

After 100 questions, (which were all answered promptly) I sent my Strider SMF (pics above from 3/1) to Josh to be reprofiled, swedge added, 220 grit finish, and 15 DPS. The knife's bevel was wide and uneven from a previous owners sharpening work. I am extremely impressed with the work that was done; the knife is beyond sharp and looks great. I forgot to have him add his logo, but I'll get it put on my other knives when I send them ;) Thanks again Josh!

Thanks Anthony, hope it serves you well and thank-you for what you do for our country my friend. It was an honor =)

I have a ZT 0562 with the CTS204 steel glade and would love for you to do a 60 or 220 grit regrind and swedge on it. What is the approximate turnaround time for that?

Glad to hear you got my knife in, Josh. Quick question- do you have a side-by-side comparison of your 60 vs 220 grit finish?

Turn around times are around 4 weeks right now =)

Here are a couple of side by side pics of the 60 vs the 220...

Wow! I need to buy another Skinner so you can do this to it!! Awesome work Josh!!

I've never seen the edge of a knife so sharp that it has a mirror finish, or blades repaired & modified so nice. Amazing work!
