Phew, I finally got through all the posts lol. I must say I like Jeffs and Roberts attitude. You guys do know of the law that says "we have the right to refuse service"? People XXXXxing about a damn countdown? wtf are you 10 years old and counting down the time for santa claus to come down the chimney? Why are you being so harsh on these standup companies with LIFETIME warranties on knives! for crying out loud that is amazing! Delays happen all the time.
For example! look at spyderco, there was that M4 military with Ti and G10 scales that was on preorder for about a year, was due out sometime in june/july, it got pushed back a COUPLE MONTHS to like october or something [I don't remember all the dates nor do I care to so a ballpark will suffice]. Another example, the paramilitary 2 - that was out earlier this year sold out, it was taken off the market for whatever reason; be it production delays, other priorities etc. And they are NOW stating a late dec/early jan/feb re-release! I mean the hest folder was slated for december, and from what I read its still slated for december. Being within a Month time frame for such an amazing folder that is [semi custom lets say, from all the QC you do. I am naive in this respect please forgive me] - with the collaboration of various companies [dpx, lionsteel etc], a delay wouldn't be inevitable, and I would expect it to be honest. What would you rather have, a pushed out knife to feed YOUR inpatient insatiable need that is not up to par with their QC, or a knife that was delayed and up to the HIGH quality standards that has been set? As many have said it is the same damn knife we thought of a few months ago, the only thing that seems to have changed is that esee and dpx split [ya ya other little things but I don't care for that at this point because I feel those contentions are superfluous].
I commend both makers for their replies and their way of handling things. I like their company even more. And in case you are wondering, I do have an HEST fixed blade, a Junglas, and used to have a esee 5 [for wood work etc, that saber grind just splits wood like nobodies business - but unfortunately, and fortunately, I gave it to my cousin who does a lot of backpacking and was so impressed I could see it in his eyes that he wanted one bad lol].
Phew that felt good to get off my chest. Carry on gentlemen. lol

I guarantee you that DPx will turn into one of the greatest forums on BFs. This forum has attitude and I like that.
Like I said Adaman, I don't want unhappy customers and we are in this for the long run. Gianni and I update people on a weekly basis with actual photos of the production so I don't really know anyone that is that transparent and in sync. Deliver has been targeted for Christmas so once again we are working 24/7 towards that goal. I don't run the entire world so shit happens. When it does you will read it here first. You can't ask for much more than that.
And as I have said...and done... before we want 100% satisfaction in this process
I have not made any "big ball" statements..only deeds.![]()
Yeah, Expat is my new sig, sorry brother, I was gonna ask you for it, but I couldn't get ahold of ya.
