Money Back Option if the HEST Folder does not ship as per countdown

Phew, I finally got through all the posts lol. I must say I like Jeffs and Roberts attitude. You guys do know of the law that says "we have the right to refuse service"? People XXXXxing about a damn countdown? wtf are you 10 years old and counting down the time for santa claus to come down the chimney? Why are you being so harsh on these standup companies with LIFETIME warranties on knives! for crying out loud that is amazing! Delays happen all the time.

For example! look at spyderco, there was that M4 military with Ti and G10 scales that was on preorder for about a year, was due out sometime in june/july, it got pushed back a COUPLE MONTHS to like october or something [I don't remember all the dates nor do I care to so a ballpark will suffice]. Another example, the paramilitary 2 - that was out earlier this year sold out, it was taken off the market for whatever reason; be it production delays, other priorities etc. And they are NOW stating a late dec/early jan/feb re-release! I mean the hest folder was slated for december, and from what I read its still slated for december. Being within a Month time frame for such an amazing folder that is [minutely custom lets say, I mean from all the QC you do, and overseeing of the project, I want to deem it as at least a minor custom knife even if on paper it is a production folder - I am naive in these terms and this respect so please forgive me] - with the collaboration of various companies [dpx, lionsteel etc], a delay wouldn't be inevitable, and I would actually expect it, to be honest. What would you rather have, a pushed out knife to feed YOUR inpatient insatiable need that is not up to par with their QC, or a knife that was delayed and up to the HIGH quality standards that has been set? As many have said it is the same damn knife we thought of a few months ago, the only thing that seems to have changed is that esee and dpx split [ya ya other little things but I don't care for that at this point because I feel those contentions are superfluous].

I commend both makers for their replies and their way of handling things. I like their company even more. And in case you are wondering, I do have an HEST fixed blade, a Junglas, and used to have a esee 5 [for wood work etc, that saber grind just splits wood like nobodies business - but unfortunately, and fortunately, I gave it to my cousin who does a lot of backpacking and was so impressed I could see it in his eyes that he wanted one bad lol].

Phew that felt good to get off my chest. Carry on gentlemen. lol

What a wonderful thread to break in the DPx Forum. Expat, so far, has the best post!

YEEEEEEHAAAAAWWWW!!! GAAAWWD DAAAMMMM!! Looks like a twister touched down in here. I thought me and Guyon destoyed this thread last night, shoulda stomped it in a little better. Musta crawled off and recouperated.:D

Yeah, Expat is my new sig, sorry brother, I was gonna ask you for it, but I couldn't get ahold of ya.

This is a good breakin' in of a new forum if I ever seen one. Hell yeah, you betcha.

Good to see all you great folks in one place raisin' hell. Definetly gonna be a good forum. Can't wait to see what DPX comes up with next.

Rock on, ya'll, I'll be back.

Moose

I guarantee you that DPx will turn into one of the greatest forums on BFs. This forum has attitude and I like that.

Waaaaaaaah!!!
Some people need to get out and find a real problem to whine about.
Spoiled North American brats.

Like I said Adaman, I don't want unhappy customers and we are in this for the long run. Gianni and I update people on a weekly basis with actual photos of the production so I don't really know anyone that is that transparent and in sync. Deliver has been targeted for Christmas so once again we are working 24/7 towards that goal. I don't run the entire world so shit happens. When it does you will read it here first. You can't ask for much more than that.

And as I have said...and done... before we want 100% satisfaction in this process

I have not made any "big ball" statements..only deeds. :)

Your awesome Robert. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't

I'm sorry to see you and ESEE part, but ya do what you gotta do.
I hope you dont let what these few whiners are saying bother you.

The First Run knives are for 250 people who bellied up to the bar before the beer was poured They get a very unusual Titanium Carbide finish on a German D2 tool steel blade, stone washed Titanium alloy frame, RotoBlock, DPx Rapid Deployment opener, US G10 scale, stainless clip, blacked out hardware and for those are crazy sick we have the MR DP version with a unique blade and handle pattern along with the sterile. It comes with a very cool skull tool in titanium and a cool SAS style survival tin that you can actually use. I you want one there are only cancelations and there are plenty of people waiting for cancellations...thats why we shoot whiners faster than the post office on a bad day. You don't want one you reserves> Please put yer head on the block and your HEST/F won't even hit the ground before someone else snaps it up.

The regular version requires less hand and machine work for the finish but has the same build and quality. The production model is for practical folks who want the same build : U.S. Titanium Alloy frame, German D2 tool steel, American G10 scale, Rotoblock, DPx Rapid Deployment, Italian build quality etc but a more practical user finish and a different skull blade in stainless. IN this case Olive Drab G10 and milspec phosphate coating (parkerizing for some). This is being sold by DPx dealers, comes in a nice box and we are going to be expediting shipment to dealers over the next two weeks. The idea is to be able to cut Santa, deep wide and most repeatedly. But no guarantees cuz I don't control the dealer network they are free thinking, meat eating savages who if you stroke long enough will do your bidding.

You can see em all at www.dpxgear.com where the timer from hell used to signal the dawn of the apocalypse but has been stopped to save us all.

That is the last time I type all that stuff in.

We eventually have to get RYP over to W&C to handle whiners head on. (It is at least one of the interweb's most dangerous places) This is a guy to knock back a few with.

Good show from Jeff and RYP.

Yeah, Expat is my new sig, sorry brother, I was gonna ask you for it, but I couldn't get ahold of ya.

Have whatever you want, Moose. You can't hide class:cool:

I'm just glad the thread didn't get locked. I HATE when threads get locked. If I were president, I'd ban all threads from ever being locked, Angelina Jolie from having any more kids and Nancy Pelosi from ever being on TV outside of a part in a Wizard of Oz reproduction.:barf:

Merry Christmas, you freaks!
