You haven't been here long enough. I've seen 'em hit in the dozens with fair frequency.

This thread HAS succeeded in making me want a HEST, and unlike some who've posted, I have more than a snowball's chance in hell of getting one. I saw prices, and I figure the LE is a lost cause. But would someone do me the favor of a quick blurb about the difference between the LE and the standard, and some sense of whether the standard will be a possible purchase (at any point).
 
Some of you people posting here seem too stupid to even be trusted with something sharp. If you've got your heart set on a knife, I suggest you go check out the Nerf company's various offerings.

Current shipping time for Randall Made Knives is 5 years. Current shipping time for Ray Mears' Woodlore knife is over 10 years. Robert's knives ship in a couple of weeks, or less--WTF, guys? If you really have to trim the string on your tampon before then, use scissors.

I have the HEST and love it, have it in my back pocket right now with a 3 piece suit on in a casino with armed guards.....

Frankly I bought the folder (standard) without looking at the final proto's and hearing anything solid about a warranty and, given the chance I would do it again.

I am by no way bashing/flaming/etc anyones post here, I think ESEE and DPx have made their points clear and I will continue to spill the contents of my wallet to them (now just more spread out).

Jeff - your a beast man, I appreciate your no nonsense business approach and communicating updates to those that are fans of the products that you and ESEE produce. Just got my 4 and 6....too awesome.

RYP - best of luck, looking forward to the the folder when I get it and what you guys have planned For the future.

Guyon- I think the diff is stamped number, different color handles/blade coating along with a more special edition of the Mr.Dp tool. If you don't have a HEST already....I would highly recommend it. Great blade, great EDC.. IMO.
 
Yes I have figured out that for every hysterical dude screaming "FIRE" at the top of their lungs there are hundreds of calm happy customers enjoying the show and awaiting their knives.
 
Never really post much but I've been reading info on here for a long time.

I just want to wish RYP all the best and thank him for the wonderful knife. The design is fantastic and knowing Lionsteel it will be built like a tank.

So the standard production HEST folder will be a regular offering? I'm sorry to sound like an idiot here, but I did not follow this whole process, and I entered this fray mainly because I abhor idiocy and I love a good bloody trainwreck with victims left sprawling railside. Like the OP of this thread. :D I guess my main question is whether the standard version is a limited run as well.

From everything I've gathered from the massive amount of threads and posts on this knife, it will be a regular production model offered by DPx.

Then again, I could be completely wrong. :D
