You always hear people say, "anyone (who likes Knives) should own a xxxxxx!"
I'm not a huge fan of that saying in general as It's usually a heavily brand biased statement, and everyone should own the Knives that he or she likes and/or can afford that suit his or her wants and needs aesthetically and in functionality.

I do however agree with it 100% whenever I hear, "everyone should own a Mora", be you hunter, fisherman, cook, college kid, regular old joe, or spoiled rich kid who likes expensive things; because even if you never owned one before, for $15 (or $100),why not give one a shot?
(I also highly suggest, like many others around here, if not something out of their "nicer" models then just a Companion or a HighQ: carbon/stainless/HD/color,: whatever suits your fancy).

And a SAK that suits your fancy doesnt hurt either.

You also constantly hear folks talk about their Moraknivs and how much they appreciate them, so assuming almost all of you own at least one; (or one of the other Nordic Knives from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, etc). I thought it appropriate to show those little sums-a-"switches" some love with a dedicated thread.

Show off your Moras, (Helles, Bruselletos, Marttiinis, Hultafors,etc)...

HD Companion mg,
SS Companion mg,
carbon HighQ,
(SAK Huntsman)

Awesome! Here's my HD companion with a chestnut handle and lefty sheath. I also made it fully convexed. These are bad little knives.

I also just got a mora pro C that's great too. No pics though, sorry

I own 3, two Robust's and one Companion SS. they're absolutely the best fixed knives when we talk about price/quality, I always have one when am in the woods.

For some reason, Mora's are what you buy kids for a first fixed blade, and then there is this huge gap when you buy them again because you have experience.

Love that handle...

Ever find yourself with a more expensive, "fancier" knife out and about, and then while doing a knife task, and you think to yourself, "man I wish I had my Mora."
Lol, I know I have...

The ONLY thing I would really change on the low end Mora's (companions, highQs, etc) is a lanyard hole in the handle...

I know the Mora is a great knife, I've used them before but I have never personally owned one. I have a little bushcraft knife that I use a lot and buying a Mora has never really been something I considered. Maybe someday.

I bought the version with the firestarter in the grip, it throws nice spark, and great knife, which one would you say is the Mora to own, I want to buy another one,
Thanks

I'm not a fan of the really cheap models with molded plastic handles. And the overall design won't appeal to everyone. But if a person come on BF asking for suggestions for a functional blade while on a tight budget, it's inconceivable that someone would not reply, "Get a Mora."

:)

I love my Precision Pro. It's so overlooked compared to full-sized Moras but it's a great, dare I say perfect, edc knife for me. I only wish the Flex was 3 inches.

I like them and use them alot. The Companion HD with the shock cord rides on my hip when I my quads. The Craft line HD without the knob on the sheath is used everyday at work. The red plastic handled basic model rides in the truck. Others either makes trips into the woods for bushcraft or are stashed and used in spots around the house.

This is very true!

Lately,I have invested in the newer models and the thin Pro S sees a lot of use.
Great edgeholding for a cheap 12c27 knife.

don't care much for Mora knives, but I do have a dandy little Brusletto, and some custom knives from makers in Sweden.

Not the best pic, but here's my Mora I bought for woodcarving. Out of the box, I hone it on 6000 grit stone and stuck in onion overnight for a protective patina. Been carving lots with it and still shaving sharp.
